No NFL exec is saying that right now, and if they are they need to be shitcanned yesterday.

As I said before, the most impressive attribute that Mahomes has is his ability to learn and assimilate information.

Patrick will be more like Rodgers than Favre concerning his ability to play within the scheme.

Spoiler!

Regardless of how good or bad the class is, it's irrelevant to you because your QB will be Kirk Cousins.

O.city 02-01-2018 09:45 AM

Elway to afraid to take another QB early?

Quesadilla Joe 02-01-2018 09:49 AM

If Elway does sign Cousins, he's going to use this great crop of QB's as leverage to drive Cousins' asking price down.

O.city 02-01-2018 09:58 AM

Yeah, no.

If Denver is the only team after Cousins, maybe. Is that likely to be the case?

lolwut?

Elway: Hey Cousins....we're going to need you to sign for less than $25 million.

Cousins: Uhhh....why's that?

Elway: Because we'll just draft Josh Allen and start him.

Cousins: ROFL Good luck with that.

No, but his biggest suitors all have top 6 picks in the draft.

If they also think this is the best QB draft in 20 years, I'm sure they'd rather pay a guy like Mayfield $29M over 4 years than give Cousins $29M every year for 4 years.

I know I would.

"I will say this Patrick Mahomes was 25x better prospect in my mind than Josh Allen and Andy Reid knows what he is doing with QBs, so Chiefs should be fine." - Robert Littal

Sorry, but you don't know ****ing shit about "leverage" in NFL player negotiations.

Since Manning left, every time Elway has tried to drive down the price on a player, that player has told Elway to go **** himself.

The NFL doesn't work the way you think it does. It's not a ****ing game of Monopoly.

Andrew Brandt disagrees... He thinks the rookie class is going to drive down Cousins' price.

You mean like it drove down the price for Alex Smith?
