we would need at least another second rounder for the fact luck hasn't been good enough to get to the playoffs the last two plus years :D

Yep I agree, Romo is a decent QB when healthy, but I would bet 10/1 he won't make it through another complete season.

With the amount of picks Dallas would ransom for Romo, it makes infinitely more sense to trade up for a rookie instead.

What makes you think Tony Romo's value is so high on the market? He should be rather easy to get, if we are willing to pay his salary.

I saw a lot of the same talk when Manning went to Denver.

Cowboys have two starting caliber QBs. At least two clubs have zero. Dallas has leverage, teams like New York and San Fran have none.

Good Grief, a column by Adam Teicher

What a waste of time!

But as for Romo..... No, draft 2 and build your own from within!

stumppy 01-20-2017 03:19 PM

Oh jeez, not this shit again.

**** no to Tony Romo. Let him play for the Donkos and become a quadriplegic after his first hit.

Didn't we say the same thing about Peyton? Romo to Denver would be the same outcome. The league loves the Donks, don't give them another qb the NFL wants to win a SB. We should get him for that basis alone, but not if it takes too much. Would rather we draft a qb in rounds 1 2 or 3

Yeah but HGH is now banned so there's that...

BWillie 01-20-2017 03:44 PM

Yeah, I mean, why would you want to have a Top 5 QB in the league when that is all you need to win a super bowl. How dumb are people to even think that. Yeah, he might get hurt. MIGHT. He might not. If he can stay healthy, we have arguably the best roster in football.

I say sign Romo to 1-2 year deal and draft a QB in either rounds 1 or 2 and make him the understudy. I would also like to see picks from rounds 2,3,4 or 5 be devoted to improving the offensive line. I think the Chiefs could upgrade both guard positions.

I'm convinced that the Chiefs aren't winning with Alex Smith and they may as well look for other alternatives.

Someone will be in to call you an idiot any moment now. It won't be me. But this is a very good scenario that would put the Chiefs in a position to succeed in the next two years and onward.

Nickhead 01-20-2017 04:09 PM

as long as romo is hypothetically signed by the chiefs, it would have to be as a free agent. you don't take three steps forward then two back by giving up potentially valuable draft picks for a 37 year old. :D
