Tom Brady trying to play the "no respect" card. Seriously.

Just a joke of a post-game interview on the field. Brady claims he thinks people think they suck and can't win a game so "we'll see". Seems to me like the actions of a man who lacks confidence so is reaching for a false narrative.

But that's sad and pathetic. Last I checked Chiefs are -3 at home in this game. This is the kind of crap you come up with when you are a double-digit dog, not reigning AFC champ. All that said, I'm glad to see it.

Yeah, sure. They were -0.5 faves over us in Sagarin prior to the playoffs and just blew out the Chargers. And beat us already.

All the media is going suck Brady dick this week so he will lose that creed but they will lose because our front will be in his face and Chris Jones dick will be down his throat.

tk13 01-13-2019 04:40 PM

This is what they do. Brady likes to have a chip on his shoulder.

He's kind of right though. The worst part is everyone's played into it all week. We even play into it on here, there's a thread about how Brady's washed up. A lot of the sports talk analysis this week talked about how the Chargers were the more complete team, the Patriots defense has holes, Gronk is on his last legs, etc. Is this the Patriots final hurrah? It plays right into their hands.

I'm guessing this week might be the same. The narrative will be that the Patriots road history. They haven't won a road playoff game in over a decade. Brady doesn't play well on the road. They've been blown out on the road a lot this year. The Chiefs are the better team. It's time for the passing of the torch, etc.

KC_Connection 01-13-2019 04:41 PM

Never forget that Matt Cassel also won 11 games in that system. This guy is nothing compared to Mahomes and he's going to get a nice seat to the changing of the guard next Sunday.

That is what I said to my friend from Boston who texted me this interview.

“Everyone thinks we suck and can’t win any games.” STFU your behavior is unbefitting of your status. The media won’t be done wiping you off their chin for a hundred years. Boy oh boy how shocked we all are by that scrappy rag tag bunch of nobodies out there in the boondocks of Boston!

Reerun_KC 01-13-2019 05:26 PM

He’s angling for the refs favor by whining. Knows without serious help from the officials they are done.

Like every year they get calls the change games in their favor. Week it ends Sunday. Mahomes is the face of the league now. No one in the country wants to see the Pats gifted another Super Bowl appearance.

The Patriots had the 6th easiest schedule this year. The chiefs had the 9th toughest. Who is more tested? They went 11-5 with a 27th ranked schedule...

This is not the same Patriots team that won the 2016 superbowl. They're coming to our house against the league MVP. Could we **** it up and lose? Sure. But this year feels different. We actually have an elite QB.

CoMoChief 01-13-2019 06:20 PM

The Pats have not played well on the road this year and have had a few embarrassing losses. With that said however, we were one once in a generation play in Miami from being the one seed.

A lot of media folks nationally and media folks locally do not think they can play on the road and that 11-5 is not a great record.

Even folks on this board, including this thread, think the Pats will get spanked.

So yes there are a lot of folks who think the Pats are not that good. Perhaps we are not, time will tell.

But this does not stop players from stating what a good bunch of folks have said on the tube and the internet regarding the Pats.

So i got no problem with Brady making that comment.

This weekend should be a fun game to watch.

This is a reasonable post except for the comment about having HFA if only the Dolphins didn’t have that miracle play. We can talk about similar sorts of plays and scenarios that were the difference between our wins and losses this year. That’s just a cop out. How about your playing the Bears and barely winning - after a Hail Mary stopped at the one - despite Khalil Mack and Trubisky being out? This is just football and you know that.

I think if we play 100x at Arrowhead, we win something like 70% of the time. We’ll see how next weekend goes.

Trubisky was in that Bears/Pats game and he was the guy who threw the Hail Mary at the end. But Khalil Mack was definitely NOT himself during that game and who knows how it turns out if New England played them about 4-5 weeks later when Mack came back healthier.

level headed post.

That being said, last time I stood in Arrowhead and screamed at Tommy Brady, he got benched in an absolute destruction of Bellichek by Reid.

Based of my own anecdotal evidence, and my belief that I can scream right in Tom Bradys ear from a hundred feet away, I believe we spank that ass.

Yah thanks . . .

Not sure what to think next weekend . . . a few thoughts though . . .

In the past 4/5 years the Chiefs have beaten us and done so without Mahomes.

We have had trouble playing on the road largely due to crowd noise. We did loose in Denver in 2013 and 2015, but to be honest we were injured both of those years, more so in 2013 as we were the second most team with starter games missed, also had 3th/4th stringers starting at WR. In 2015 our kicker missed an extra point and things might of been different had he not as we could not tie the game with a 2 pt conversion at the end (would only needed an extra point to tie had he not missed one in the 1st qtr). I am not making the injury excuse per se, but just a caveat.

The good news is that we are mostly healthy, so that is a good sign.

You guys have Mahomes and he, and the chiefs, played solid yesterday, and picked up were they left off in the regular season, so no drop off, so that is a great sign for you guys.

I am quietly confident that we can do well in Arrowhead. The key is that we are healthy and have been playing solid the last three games.

We are going to have to overcome your crowd and can do that hopefully if we can get a lead.

However, even if we overcome crowd we will still have to then deal with Mahomes and company.

Should be a good game.

To be honest did not watch all of Tom versus Time.

Brady is a person that wears his heart on his sleeve and is open about a lot of things, even making fun of himself a great deal in his posts.

With that being said, he is open and not worried about what folks think

But for me i was not a fan of his kissing of his son, but that is his business.

I hear yah, and thanks for your feedback.

Yes, there are key plays and there are keys plays, and bounces are bounces, as a missed tackle is a missed tackle.

But I think to be honest my point is directed to one of likelihood and percentages. That play by the Phins was the longest play to win a game since the Merger in 1970, some 48 years of football. So it is a very low percentage, as opposed to not stopping an opponent on a 4&2 and they go on the win.

Anyhoot, my point was not one of complaining but to recognize that we were close to the #1. And also close to the #3 seed had Chicago converted that hail mary you mentioned. So things can even out in the end as you mentioned.

I like our chances better in Arrowhead after our game today. And agree that the needle points in favor of the Chiefs in this game if we played it 10 times, that the chiefs will win more than 5 of the games and maybe closer to 7 of them.

The only thing that I am hoping for is that the Pats come out hungry (maybe even trying to harbor some revenge for the 2014 spanking we got), and if we can play clean, we got a shot.

If the 2014 team shows up (or the one that got embarrassed a few times this year on the road) this game could be over at halftime.

Good takes unlike some of your fellow posters. My biggest worry is your pass catching RBs and the ability to get off the field on 3rd downs. The Pats will play call to get into 3rd and short, eating up the clock, trying to negate the rush while having may play options open. It will be interesting to see what the Chiefs D does.

GloryDayz 01-13-2019 08:11 PM
