Chimney Sweeps in KC?

I need somebody to stick a broom up my flue.
Guys have any friends/family in the biz that might want to impersonate Dick Van Dyke in my living room?

Make sure you go with somebody that's License and Insured. While the professionals can do it inside the house, most likely they will be crawling around on your roof to inspect the chimney. Don't need anyone falling off and suing you.

If I recall correctly, we paid about $500 to have it done about 5 years ago. Price included sweeping, inspection and a custom made spark arrestor (Ours was blown off and damaged in a wind storm). Good luck.

When I lived in St Louis I worked a short while for Ash Wipers chimney sweep. The guy had a petrified squirrel carcass he kept in the truck. He would sell a chimney cap at every house. If people didn’t want to buy it, he would throw it in the shop vac, bring it inside and then when people weren’t looking he’d pull it out and throw it in the fireplace while we were doing the sweeping. EVERYBODY ended up buying one.

That’s all I’ve got! Everyone loved the name of his business though!

I do mine myself. I have only fell off the roof once! The fall didn't hurt, it was the bounce.

I burn wood for heat 24/7 in the cold winters of Iowa. I have to clean my stove pipes at least at the beginning of the season and midway during the January thaw.
