I'm trying to think of people from the show that got bit but I'm having trouble. The only one that comes to mind is the guy that went crazy shoveling graves back in ATL. After the walkers attacked the camp, he had gotten bit on the stomach. The black chick noticed he was looking sickly and pale and questioned him about it. The bite itself wasn't even that major (he was able to hide it from the others) but his health deteriorated pretty rapidly. Plus the characters in the show seem to have a wealth of cuts and scrapes that never seem to get infected. It has to be the virus.

I'm saying a bite from a rancid corpse, regardless of the zombie virus, would be enough to cause sepsis and potentially death rather quickly. How many pathogens is in a rancid corpse mouth that eats nothing but meat?

I'm convinced these people are becoming sick from blood infections, making the bite appear to be the source when it is not.

I believe the bodies were two cops, presumably partners just like Shane and Rick were. It struck a chord with him.

My money is on Herschel finding a cure in his barn.

If he can repair that kids leg that was ripped off of a 3" wrought iron fence barb so the kid can be just about perfect a week later, then he can find a cure.

I don't think he's got the scientific knowledge or experience to create an anti-virus. Besides, I think he's a goner by the end of the season.

you guys got me thinking....in most zombie movies...if you die you come back to life. not all mind you...but I'd say most. whether you are bitten or not, if you die you come back to life. hadn't really considered that for this series. they never showed people climbing from graves and stuff...so I must assume that those who were dead before the "incident" are still dead.
I don't think anyone has died yet from anything other than zombies or being shot in the head....right? I was wondering last night...if that girl kills herself will she come back alive....and I answered myself...yeah I bet she will this is gonna be awesome!. and then she didn't. DAMN IT! who will be the first to die of non-zombie non-head related trama???

The police duo were affectionately called "skinny and fatty" around the department.

I thought it was a real good episode, but I really had to resist the urge to fast forward through all the estrogen scenes. Although I did like Lori and Andrea's confrontation in the kitchen a whole lot.

seriously do they have to keep going back to the farm with the chicks? i wished that girl wouldve just did it. i mean shes had like 3 lines in the entire show and now we're supoosed to be all sympathetic for her. peace out

I thought Andrea was going to get bitch-slapped when she brought up Lori's "boyfriend", (Shane). That would have been epic! LMAO

They need to kill off some characters.

My vote would be Andrea. Hate her. And T-Dog. Why is he even there?

And Glen is Korean.

That was a really good scene. Nobody to that point had really questioned Lori, and Andrea didn't back down. Made Lori think, at the least.
