If the Chiefs miss the Super Bowl...

...who will you root for?

Poll forthcoming.

EDIT: Original question was worded to be too easily misread, so posed it a different way.

luv 01-16-2019 08:55 AM

I know they screwed over Missouri, and that they "beat" us earlier in the season, but the Rams are the team that has least recently won a SB. I'll choose the "underdog". Screw the Patriots.

Old Dog 01-16-2019 09:01 AM

Whoever represents the NFC, preferably the Saints

Why Not? 01-16-2019 09:03 AM

Neither. The Super Bowl will simply be an opportunity for me to bet. I will have no emotional or rooting interest without the Chiefs involved.

CervezaChill 01-16-2019 09:05 AM

Sean Payton’s face bothers me. But so does McVay‘s and Belichick’s so I hope lightning strikes the field.

dj56dt58 01-16-2019 09:12 AM

I wont be able to watch due to every tv and every ****ing thing else in my house being broken and possibly burned down. Unless I watch the AFC Championship game at a bar then that place is ****ed

jjchieffan 01-16-2019 09:24 AM

Saints. I've always liked Brees.

stevieray 01-16-2019 09:26 AM

Not going there.

...don't understand the need.

Scaga 01-16-2019 09:27 AM

Nobody....the NFL will be dead to me

:clap:ROFL EXACTLY how I feel...nailed it.

Imon Yourside 01-16-2019 09:30 AM

Not going to care other than not seeing the teams i hate the most not win it. So I would look up and hope the Saints won after the fact.

chinaski 01-16-2019 09:31 AM

I won't be watching another Patriots Super Bowl, but I'll be pulling for whoever is playing against them.

KChiefs1 01-16-2019 09:34 AM

Rams because it would piss off St Louis.

scho63 01-16-2019 09:40 AM

I'm torn.

1/2 of me wants Drew Brees so we can face him in the SB if we beat the Pats

1/2 of me wants the Rams so we can avenge are earlier loss AND take Drew Brees out of the MVP talk event though they already voted.

I'm FENCE SITTER!

FlaChief58 01-16-2019 10:04 AM

Wait, they're going to still play a game if the Chiefs don't win?

TribalElder 01-16-2019 10:05 AM

None and might not watch

old_geezer 01-16-2019 10:06 AM

I will root for ANYBODY against the Patriots. I am sick and tired of them being gifted the Division title every year (usually along with a bye and home field advantage) thanks to playing in the worst division in the history of the NFL. Take this year: Replace the Patriots with the last place finisher in each division ( Raiders, Bengals, Jaguars, Giants, Lions, Bucs, and Cardinals) and only the Cardinals wouldn't be favored to win the division(IMO). What a piece of crap division.

Well if the Pats are in it no one will be watching, but...yeah, I guess so.

I have to think the NFL, CBS, about every advertiser who's booked ads and practically anyone else who follows football, are praying the Chiefs win this Sunday.

I think the NFL world would love to see the phenom that is Patrick Mahomes on the world's biggest stage.

Halfcan 01-16-2019 10:11 AM

Losing is not an option.

wazu 01-16-2019 10:13 AM

I’m not even willing to entertain such a preposterous scenario.

007 01-16-2019 08:14 PM

I'll root against the pats as usual.

lewdog 01-16-2019 08:15 PM

**** you, OP!!!

kysirsoze 01-16-2019 08:17 PM

Huh. Interesting hypothetical. Hadn't really considered this. Give me a minute...

I guess the Saints so Brees retires.

I see it as sort of a "what if the Nazis won the war" sort of thing. Fun to think about because it didn't happen.

DaFace 01-16-2019 08:19 PM

Quite the defeatist thread amidst an sea of optimism otherwise.

Yehoodi 01-16-2019 08:22 PM

Even though they won in 2009, I would root for the Saints.

I like Brees and i think he is under the radar when folks talk about the great QBs of his generation.

203Pat 01-16-2019 08:22 PM

The Patriots.

Reerun_KC 01-16-2019 08:23 PM

Won’t even watch it. Rarely watch them now.

Bump 01-16-2019 08:27 PM

I wouldn't even watch it TBH, I especially wouldn't watch it for the commercials lol.

I'm with you on being torn. At first I wanted NO to win so Mahomes could show why he is the better MVP candidate.

But I changed my mind. Out with the legacy QBs. In with the New World Order.

MichaelH 01-17-2019 05:36 AM

None of the above except I don't watch commercials. I like Drew Brees but can't stand the team he plays on. The Superbowl is mainly an event for non sports fans to watch commercials and half time shows. I won't be watching it should the Chiefs fail to beat Brady.

zigbazah 01-17-2019 05:59 AM

I've never been even remotely tempted to skip the Super Bowl, but this one will be genuinely hard to watch if we miss.

St. Patty's Fire 01-17-2019 05:59 AM

Well I really dislike both the Rams and Saints soooooo...nobody.

Skyy God 01-17-2019 06:02 AM

GTFO with this sad sack, defeatist attitude.

SuperBowl4 01-17-2019 07:13 AM

Why are you even considering this on the week of the CHIEFS hosting the AFC Championship game?

HemiEd 01-17-2019 07:27 AM

When the Chiefs season ends, College BB season begins.

I have yet to watch a College BB game this year as it is still football season.

I am not going to root for any of the other three teams. If it was the Bears maybe.

Bugeater 01-17-2019 07:33 AM

I will not watch another ****ing Patriot Super Bowl.

I've always been a Brees fan. I wanted the Chiefs to draft him. (I'm old, apparently.) I had a conversation with a Chiefs scout that offseason about him, and he agreed, he liked him too.

Shaid 01-17-2019 01:58 PM

Whoever is from the NFC. Given the options, I'd prefer that be the Saints.

BlackHelicopters 01-17-2019 02:05 PM

Won’t watch game should be option. Poll fail.

htismaqe 01-17-2019 02:06 PM

I think I've watched one or 2 Super Bowls in the last 5 years. I just won't watch. It's not all that entertaining anymore.

New World Order 01-17-2019 02:09 PM

I'm not watching the SB if we don't get there

Lol what? The only bad one in the last 10 years was when Peyton got his teeth kicked in by The Seahawks.

One of the best super bowls I've ever seen. Loved every damn second if that.

The hate is real with you, huh? :DROFL

MMXcalibur 01-17-2019 09:13 PM

The Chiefs aren't going to miss the Super Bowl, so this topic doesn't matter.

This is like hating a rich kid cause they were born rich. What do you want us to do? Petition to an allegedly tougher division? GOOH. And remember, even if your theory was true, we still regularly beat the other team in the AFC game to go to the SB so, there's that. Oh, and we beat you in the regular season....are you crap?
