Why did we kick the field goal with 11 seconds left?
 

Why not take a shot at the end zone. With Mahomes from the 20 something I like our chances. Take a shot then kick

The pats were dropping 7 or 8 guys back into the endzone and or at the goal line:

Too many things could've gone wrong throwing into the endzone there. Pats had the entire endzone covered with their safeties and corners.

Baldinger had a great clip on this. Mahomes ****ed it up. He had Williams wide open and could’ve gotten to about the 9 with 10 seconds left. Mahomes threw it to the back of the end zone instead.

I don't think they thought they had no chance and didn't want to risk it.

I think I counted that they had 6 guys IN the endzone 3 on the DL and 2 guys inside the 5. With no timeout, they weren't giving up a TD.

I agreed with doing it. You get a sack or a bad snap, or a guy doesn't get out of bounds, and the game is over. The field goal is 95+%, and gives you a 50/50 shot at winning the coin flip that determines the winner.

They took one shot.

Which is exactly what they should have done. You are ****ing with fire if you get a holding call, or get sacked with no timeouts and 11 tics on the clock.

That's a little strongly worded. A checkdown is still an incredibly dangerous play. If rather take the 50/50 of a coin toss than the huge risk of trying to pull off a small % chance at a td. One sack or player not going out of bounds and game is over.

If you watch the video, Williams is running toward the sideline with no one near him, and he's about 12 yards down the field.

It didn't look dangerous at all it would have been a catch and right out of bounds.

Mahomes left a lot of plays on the field.

But goddamn is the future bright, or what?

The Pats dynasty is ending.

Who the **** is going to beat Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid once Brady/Bill are gone?

WTF is Brady even going to look like a season from now?
