This isn't a slam, but I think it's funny that so many people live-stream everything they do. I do it too. It's just ridiculous that we can't finish a movie or a quarter of a football game without getting online to opine. I've even seen people do chapter by chapter book reviews.

That says a lot about this movie for me. If it wasn't so boring so far I wouldn't have paused it to browse CP. I can promise you I didn't pause Once Upon a Time in Hollywood once last night.

Uh, I started watching it at 1:00 o’clock in the morning and stopped when I couldn’t stay awake anymore. That being said, if it was truly great it would have kept me up. It didn’t.

I gave up. Big Scorsese fan but this movie sucks.

Deberg says the big payoff for sitting through 3.5 hours of a snooze-fest is a look into aging and dying alone.
So hang in there!

It's the first truly interactive movie. It's so long the audience ages and dies along with the characters.

Is there anyone familiar with the "Killing Jimmy Hoffa" doc on Amazon who can say if this added anything you might not get from the source material?

I don't mind Scorsese et al dramatizing this stuff, but as the consumer appetite for true crime documentaries has grown, they've gotten good at assembling interviews and file footage to give a pretty good picture of events, and it's often just plain better to get the information straight from the mouth of the wiseguys and skells who were involved.

Scorcese taking some heat online because AnnA Paquin and Jessie Plemons have about 20 words of dialogue between them.

Although Paquins character ends up being fairly import to the film.

Movie is based on the book about Sheeran (DeNero character). He claims he was the one who killed Hoffa. But many have disputed it.

So obviously the movie is coming from Sheerans point of view.

The facts of this movie have fallen apart. 99.9% fiction

How do you make a movie around Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance based on facts when no one knows the facts?

The movie is based on a book told by Sheeran.

It wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be and not as bad as some have said. Soundtrack could have been better which is something Scorsese usually has on point (Goodfellas, Casino, and the Departed come to mind.) Any good links disputing the storyline for my lazy ass?

Watched the first hour of this last night. Will probably finish it tonight. The CGI they used to make the characters look younger is distracting as hell.

I actually think the CGI was good, but our brains are wired to know what these guys really look like , so yea it’s distracting a little bit.
