The Chiefs can only franchise one player. The threat of the franchise tag is what helps players to sign. Bowe does not want to get tagged again, even though he will get paid with his 2nd tag.

No shit.

You said they would resign Bowe. Therefor, they can tag Albert.

You don't need to discredit Jarvis Jones as a prospect to make the case for drafting Geno Smith. If both reach their tremendous potential? You'd rather have Geno.

I hate to burst your bubble guys. But this is my prediction. The Chiefs let Branden Albert walk. They resign Bowe. And they draft Joeckel. Then they draft a QB with the 2nd pick. Whoever the best QB on the board is.

NSFW

Spoiler!

Bowe would rather sign with someone else unless he knew he was going to be tagged.

What?

Bowe will either leave, or be signed longterm. He won't be tagged again.

So again, you are sitting here with the Franchise Tag open.

Not likely a top-10 pick based on early talks I've had with NFL people. RT @Wardamus: @caplannfl Thoughts on Geno to the Chiefs at 1?

NFL people are almost constantly failing.

He can be tagged again. The tag is what forces players to stay with their team. They don't want to be tagged so they sign.
