The Cardassians were the most forthcoming with technology in the early days of the warp drive.

In the old history we were friendly with the Cardassians and eventually it breaks into war. With the reboot, we could go to war with them much sooner.

From what I hear, they just want to get it "right".

The reboot set a super high standard and they want to make sure that this film easily surpasses fan expectations.

We get to see the opening 9 minutes here in a few weeks......provided you see The Hobbit in IMAX of course.

That's nice, but 3 1/2 years between movies is just too goddamn long.

it will be 4 years when its released. The first one was May 2009. I jusr realized the other day they went 4 years between Bond films as well.
