How is Justin Houston feeling right now?

LMAO

Should’ve given us the home discount and finished his career with a SB

kysirsoze 08-25-2019 12:12 AM

He shoulda done that anyway. We already had the vastly superior QB.

Solid player, great at his prime, but I'd seen enough of his 'leadership'.

They had to ship him out to correct the culture.

Titty Meat 08-25-2019 12:24 AM

I bet hes feeling what did he get? 12 mil. 12 million dollars richer

-King- 08-25-2019 12:41 AM

He probably does wish he'd stayed but I don't know if he'd be willing to part with millions just to stay and have a chance at a ring.

Houston saw himself as a mercenary , and didn't want to restructure even with his guaranteed bonus money from his 2nd contract.

eDave 08-25-2019 03:45 AM

Probably washed his Bentley today.

Molitoth 08-25-2019 06:04 AM

The majority of NFL players probably care about Money more than odds at a Super Bowl.

Very much this. It’s a business and if your a Star, it’s about setting yourself up for life. Don’t blame them one bit.

100% accurate.

Houston's play last year wasn't the issue, but his attitude certainly was...

What was his attitude?

He didn't practice hard, when he practiced at all. He didn't lead by example. Sat on the sideline, super quiet. Talked shit on Chiefs management from time to time, felt he didn't owe much to the organization that made him a multi-millionaire before age 30. He just wasn't a real leader on the defense. Between Houston and his attitude and Berry and his Haglund's, we had like $45m worth of players who should've been leading the defense either on the sideline pretending to coach, or simply muttering to anyone who'd listen about how they don't have to practice...

Facts.

I remember reading a quote that mentioned Justin Hamilton having to get on Houston because it looked like he was dogging it vs the Ravens. I don't necessarily know about attitude, but his effort level wasn't all there last year.

He could've been one of the all time greats if he would've had a better attitude and played/practiced harder.

The all-time greats make the players around them better; Houston did not do these things.
