How has Nancy Wilson not been mentioned?? Unpossible.

It's difficult to rate her. It's kind of like anything else - like say, football. She's of a different era. Some of the ladies that play on Youtube today can do things Nancy never could do.

It's just one of those things. But yeah, she deserves mention for sure.

I suppose "Top" is open to interpretation. Technical skill, to me at least, doesn't always equal good. I totally see your point though.

There's certainly a balance between technical skill and artistic feel. Some people have one or the other and some people have both. Those are the rare ones. For her time, Nancy Wilson absolutely had BOTH.

It's a bit of a joke I've seen in comment sections of the more guitar-centric corners at youtube.

There seems to be a consensus that the highest difficulty level can be found in Asian or Russian players. But, Jess Lewis is Goat, and I think she's British. not sure

She rocks. Killer player on electric or acoustic, Heart or Lovemongers. Dreamboat Annie is an underrated masterpiece; there's the two songs from the radio, there's the KILLER stuff like "Love Me Like Music", "Sing Child, Sing" and "White Lightning & Wine" that SHOULD be played on classic rock radio.

You should see what she can with the skin guitar...

Too hard to rate when they are all at that level.

Please, bear in mind that this is a different more nuanced genre of music. She is different in almost every way than most of the other players mentioned here and her setup is by far more difficult to play and master. That said I give you the incomparable, magnificent and incredible - Emily Remler.

yeah! I remember her. She's confident with that instrument, the guitarist.

Saki (2&), started off in Kawaii Metal duo called 2&. When that dissolved joined idolcore group Guso Drop. Learned to play guitar and started busking performing her own songs. Dropped out from Guso Drop and started performing under the 2& moniker as an indie rock idol. She plays guitar on all her tracks but usually performs only a couple songs live with the guitar.

that 1st phrase... with the initial attack, then the alternating slides down the neck with either hand(and after completing that idea in 1 second plus, the 2nd slide, executed with his left hand has to resolve near where he begins his 2nd idea, I think lol). Good Lord have mercy. All while being a showman with the presentation.

It's little nuance like that, that technique allows for in the creation of magical feeling sound.
