This is my league for most of my best friends. I'm the commish.
12 teams. Standard roster, mostly standard scoring (a few tweaks like 2 point bonuses for 50-yard receptions and runs, but no PPR), and the flex positions include the option for TE (So it's RB/WR/TE). I've got a lot riding on Jay Cutler, but I'm confident he can be the guy I need him to be. 4200 yardsish and 25+ TDs hopefully. There's only one team that got the ol' autodraft treatment. His RBs are Doug Martin, Jonathan Stewart, Alfred Morris, and Evan Royster, yet his receivers are Hakeem Nicks, Larry Fitz, Brandon Lloyd, Denarius Moore, and Laurent Robinson. I'm going to offer him some needed RB depth (Hillis and Gerhart) for Brandon Lloyd and one of his Redskins backs. If he approves that trade, I'll be solidly 3-deep at WR with some good starter options at RB and a decent 3rd guy in Ryan Williams remaining. QB: Jay Cutler RB: Fred Jackson RB: Benjarvus Green-Ellis WR: Calvin Johnson WR: Victor Cruz FLEX: Peyton Hillis K: Jason Hanson DST: Falcons BENCH: Ryan Williams, Toby Gerhart, Jared Cook, Austin Collie, Davone Bess, Danny Amendola |
My 12 team ppr league. 6pts per TD. We start 1qb, 1rb, 2wr, 1te
Romo RG3 Richardson Lynch Hillis Megatron Marshall Austin Washington Hernandez I'm fairly happy with my team. I wanted Ryan as my QB but he went too early. |
last league and biggest league for me last night. 14 team, non ppr, custom scoring. 1 keeper after 10th rd if they stay on your roster the whole yr. Left myself thin on WR, and completely tanked getting a b/u TE till the 16th rd and by then....literally everybody was gone

Start Schaub at home against Miami or Rivers at Oakland?
|
Quote:
I don't see SD having any run game whatsoever. So they'll probably pass frequently. Depends how you play FFL. Safe, or risky. |
Quote:
But it's my first 8 team league so Im not used to having this many good players. I don't like it. Too much second guessing. I rather have a top 5 QB I was thinking of proposing this deal: Rivers or Schaub, Adrian Peterson, Andre Johnson for Stafford, Harvin, Michael Bush Thoughts? lopsided? |
Ok, I gave in and did ONE team this year. In the past, I would get sucked into having 6-8 teams, and it just completely ruined watching football, for I was always looking up stats and freaking out like a teenaged girl on Sundays. No more of that.
I'm in a ten team, $100 buy in league. Let's have the pros critique my team. Backups are in parantheses. QB - Peyton Manning* (Joe Flacco) RB - Trent Richardson, Doug Martin (Daniel Thomas, Ben Tate) WR - Calvin Johnson, Jordy Nelson, Julio Jones (Anquan Boldin, Randall Cobb, Kendall Wright) TE - Jimmy Graham (Coby Fleener) D/ST -Texans K - Garrett Hartley I feel like the team is a bit soft at RB, especially relying on two rooks as my starters. Overall, though, I'm happy. *Peyton was still sitting there in the 7th round. I figure at that point it's all just gravy if he can produce even 75-80% of what we're used to seeing from him. If not, Flacco is a steady backup to have. Not spectacular, but not a pile of shit, either. |
3 sites I frequent list Rivers as their #1 QB play this week.

12 team league - 6 pts TD (4 pts TD passing), 0.5 PPR league. Kind of an odd scoring setup which de-emphasizes the elite QB. One flex WR/RB I picked 5th.
QB - RGIII, Dalton WR - Jordy Nelson, Dwayne Bowe, Malcom Floyd, Justin Blackmon RB - CJ2k, Reggie Bush, Shonn Greene, Ryan Williams, Kendall Hunter TE - Rob Gronkowski, Brent Celek K - Jason Hanson D - Lions |
Ok, help me out. 12 team league. Had the draft Sunday...ended up with 1st overall pick (selected Rodgers) and still ended up with hella-depth. Problem is, I don't know what to do with it right now.
The positions that need filled: QB RB1 RB2 WR1 WR2 RB/WR K TEAM DEF/ST TE IDP IDP IDP Here is my roster: QB: Aaron Rodgers, Jake Locker WR: Roddy White, Marques Colston, Miles Austin, Kendall Wright RB: DeMarco Murray, Fred Jackson, Kevin Smith, Peyton Hillis, David Wilson, Felix Jones TE: Coby Fleener, Dallas Clark K: David Akers Team Def/ST: Seattle and Donkeys IDP: Sean Lee IDP: Stephen Tulloch IDP: Paul Posluszny IDP: Chad Greenway These are the positions that I have completely made up my mind in terms of the starters: QB: Rodgers RB1: DeMarco Murray RB2: Fred Jackson WR1: Roddy White WR2: ? WR/RB: ? TE: Coby Fleener K: David Akers Team Def/ST: Seattle IDP: Sean Lee IDP: Stephen Tulloch IDP: Chad Greenway I need help with the WR2 and RB/WR spots. Can anyone help me? My options for WR2 are Austin, Colston and Wright. I think Wright has potential, especially with Britt missing this week, but I'm going to be patient with him. So that spot is pretty much down to Austin and Colston. Most weeks, I'd start Colston, but I like Austin's match up better (vs. Giants, Colston is vs. Redskins). BUT Austin has a hammy issue. Who do I start? Then there is the WR/RB spot. My options are Peyton Hillis vs. Falcons, Kevin Smith vs. Rams, Colston/Austin, Kendall Wright vs. Patriots, Felix Jones vs. Giants. I think Smith, Colston/Austin and Hillis will be great options. I think Wright may have potential too, but like I said, I am not gambling with him yet. Who do I plug in to that spot? I watched a Yahoo Fantasy video that listed the 3 "must start" players of week 1.....Kevin Smith was 1 of the 3. Do I start him, or do I start someone else? Please help.... thanks in advance! |
I'm in a 10 team league, I drafted two defenses, SF & Pittsburgh. I coulda just drafted more depth of RB's and WR and picked up Seattle via waivers. I'm such a FFL noob
|
I have an opportunity to trade for either AP or MJD.
I would have to give up Jennings/Greene for either AP/MJD + Mike Williams (TB). What do you guys think? AP? MJD? Neither? |

I'm thinking about selling high on Murray. Am I crazy? If so, someone talk me off the ledge.
He had a great game don't get me wrong, but he looked slower than last year to me and doesn't have a burst. If he doesn't look like he has much pop now, in week 1, then what's going to happen once week 10 hits? He also runs high and constantly looks for contact at the end of runs, which leads to injuries. I love it as a football fan but as a fantasy owner, I'm not crazy about that. I don't know I just think I can get a lot for him now or in the next few weeks and it might be worth it to sell high. McFadden, Martin, K. Smith and Hillis are my other backs so I have solid depth but need a 2nd WR to pair with Julio. |

Keep Murray. He is going to be a beast.

Maybe I should let it play out for a week or two and hopefully allow my backups to gain some value to others and/or prove their worth to me. Hopefully my league-mates RB starters get off to bad starts and they panic. I'm pretty much the only guy in the league who would probably consider trading a back. |
I tell ya what. I sure hate Shanahan RB's.
|
Matt Stafford is really f***ing me over today. 0 TDs and 3 INTs so far. And to make it worse, I've got RGIII on the bench and he's tearing it up.

Well, with Gerhart, Hillis and Ingram sucking as bad as they did (fantasy wise) I am disappointed to say that I am already messing around with a freaking Shanahan RB on the waiver wire (Alfred Morris). Ugh.

I’m hoping I can squeak out a thriller (I am up by like 70 or 80, but he has BJGE, Rice, and someone else going tonight) and chalk this week’s bad performance up to the uncertainty of week 1.
My frustration grew and grew as Antonio Brown failed to give me more breathing room last night. Two friggin dropped/broken up TDs. |
I, too am in a couple of nailbiters.
I'm down 19. I have Law Firm, DHB, Janikowski and Ngata. He has Weddle. Another league I'm up 12. He has Law Firm and Torrey Smith. I have Baltimore D. Mix in the fact my girlfriend beat me in a my family league 1-2 is looking like a distinct possibility. |

thank you Baltimore D and Ed Reed. Withstood Smith's great start and Law Firm. Won by nine. Ngata also had me a solid game. 2-1. Can't complain. |

Is Russell Wilson worth holding onto?
I've got Ryan and Locker as my QBs. |
pick three out of four to start this week, I'm struggling:
Ahmad Bradshaw Stevan Ridley CJ Spiller Matt Forte |

Doesn't Russell Wilson have the ability to rack up some points with his legs as well? I see him as possibly having some potential. Speaking of Rodgers...I had 1st pick overall and selected him.....he wasn't bad last week, but this week he was somewhat disappointing....definitely doesn't seem to be putting up the numbers that he seemed to last year (fantasy wise). |
Quote:
With Wilson I am sticking with the fact that rookie QBs don't usually put up huge numbers unless they are just amazingly physically talented, like Cam or RG3. And really Locker will get some extra yards with his legs as well. I think Wilson's stat lines will generally be very similar to his first game. 150 yards 1int, 1td and 20 yards rushing. Locker has more upside to me (and better receivers with Britt returning). I'm not even betting that Wilson will be the starting QB through the entire year. A couple games struggling and we will see Flynn I think. |
Nice dodge there as in one of my cash leagues I was facing the Rodgers owner and he only got 11.6,now I need Matt Ryan to get in a shootout with Manning.
|
I'm in my 4th year of a dynasty league and I finally landed a blockbuster trade that got me Megatron (PPR league)
I got: Calvin Johnson 4th round pick I gave: Roddy White Lance Moore 1st round pick I had the depth at WR and this guy had zilch.. I took advantage of him being short a starter and landed Calvin foooorrrrever! My team now looks like this (12 teams, dynasty, PPR) QB - Vick, Cutler, Eli RB - AP, DMC, Michael Bush, J-Stew, Beanie Wells, Mikel Leshoure, some other young prospects WR- Calvin Johnson, Greg Jennings, Hakeem Nicks, Antonio Brown, Kenny Britt, Justin Blackmon, Eric Decker TE- Jimmy Graham, Dustin Keller K- Mason Crosby IDP - About 10 players throughout the roster This was originally a 10 team league and we just expanded this year to 12.. he 2 expansion teams will have quite the process to catchup, but that is what the draft and free agency is for. We draft the same way the NFL does, worse picks first at the beginning of each round. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
We will probably tweak some stuff next year and let them stay at a higher free agent budget, but one of the teams nearly won his game because he had Kevin Smith and RG3 playing.. |

I need to do something here about my RB situation. I think I want to trade either Bowe or Austin for a RB. What kind of value do you think I could get right now?
For the record, I'm 2-0 and the 2nd highest scoring team, but I think that my WR position could be solid if I lost Austin or Bowe, and filled in Mike Williams and then got a RB out of it so I could have Lynch, Smith, and one more sure starter. I'm not confident at all in Redman or Stewart, and I don't know why the **** I started Knowshon. I must have been smoking the good stuff. http://i.imgur.com/CSkAt.png |

Does anyone expect Finley to have a good season? I've got Olsen on my team and I got a trade offer that would have me giving up Kendall Hunter for Dennis Pitta. Yeah I would have 3 TEs....but obviously I would be trying to dump Finley for something else. Maybe Finley and Charles for a better RB or Finley and Green for a better WR. Am I over thinking it....and I should just hold onto Finley? |

I currently have the #1 Waiver Priority, and I'm mostly satisfied with my team. I won't be using the Waivers until this year's Victor Cruz shows himself. |
Yep...someone got Battle on Waivers. I ended up grabbing Hawkins from Cincy this morning. Surprised nobody claimed him on waivers.

Currently 2/12. Second overall in points too.
I was offered TRich and Julio Jones for Foster and Garcon No PPR, standard scoring and we also get return yardage pts. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 FLEX, 1 D, 1 K. My team: Show Me Your TD's.
