In that case, it makes sense. Gives us a guy while Nicolas tries to come back, potentially lets us move on from Zombo when he does return.

Or move Zombo inside? The guy does NOT have the speed to play outside anymore....

As I've been saying recently, the Chiefs had too many ILBer's on the roster in March, Wilson, DJ, Eligwe, Mauga and Alexander. This move all but cements Mauga on the 53.

OLB is certainly a position of need. Nicolas could be out for months, Hali is old, Zombo is fairly infective, Houston hasn't played a full season since 2014.

This is not really a shock when looked at with a calm demeanor.

Maybe this guy was one of Veach's 4 players that "hit". Maybe to them a "hit" means survived cuts to make a team.

So then you get a draft pick for him. You don't trade him for another guy you're going to cut.

Lol no

Youth for Youth.

Inside for Outside.

It makes sense. Toub can turn any scrub into a great special teamer.

OnTheWarpath15 07-28-2017 10:49 AM

This kid had the 2nd best SPARQ score among OLB's in the 2014 draft.

Only Ryan Shazier's was better.

Continuing the pattern...

So then at the very least, with that physical ability, he should be easy to mold into a core special teamer.

I understand now though at least. Initially i thought he was another ILB, which didn't make any sense to me.

The Chiefs are really behind the 8 Ball in terms of pass rushing OLBer's.

Most of the best pass rushers go in the first round of the draft and the Chiefs don't have a 2018 first rounder.

It appears that Veach and the personnel staff are leaving no stone unturned.

They do love them some SPARQ scores, don't they.

Veach's 'decision lens' starts to take shape...

Everyone needs to relax. We traded a special teamer not a starter

So trade him for a 6th.

You don't trade him for a guy that presents the same problems he did.

The Franchise 07-28-2017 10:55 AM

Hopefully this guy can take Zombo's spot because Zombo is ****ing done.

The Chiefs need OLBers
