LOL at all of the people that insisted to me that Herm would be a good college coach when I was celebrating ASU hiring him.

threebag 09-18-2022 09:29 PM

He will work well in Nebraska. He’s one of those you play to win the game coaches

Eleazar 09-18-2022 09:35 PM

I thought the Herm era would never be surpassed as the lowest point in Chiefs franchise history, then the era immediately following it did. So in a way, Herm is responsible for Pioli. Piss off, Herm

Not so much. At least in Tempe he was withering in obscurity. ESPN will probably give him his job back and while I don’t watch any opinion shit, I’ll probably hear more from that bag of dog balls than I’ve heard while he was coach.

Hopefully he’ll retire. But you can bet whatever he’s doing he’s going to puke cliches while being wholly terrible at every aspect of what he’s trying to do. There is plenty of evidence to the affirmative and very very little to the negative.

You play 2 win the game. Herm doesn't win. Herm gets fired again.

BigRedChief 09-19-2022 07:32 AM

I went to the playoff game in Indy. We were so excited that we were finally going to get a playoff win after all this time. Then Herm decided to run LJ up the middle 30 times into a pile of bodies waiting for him. His inability to change the game plan cost us the game.

Ty Law single-handed kept the Chiefs in that game for far longer than they deserved.

Eastern Michigan's head coach is one of the most underrated in the business.

But Herm should have beaten EMU by 14+.

One of the most baffling hires in the history of college football. I'm actually surprised it took as long as it did for him to burst into an aids fire. Especially after his opening presser when he didn't know ASU's mascot was Sun Devils and didn't know a single player on the roster. I didn't think he'd last a year.

Oh it was worse than you can even imagine. I'm a lifelong Chiefs fan, so I obviously couldn't stand idiot Herm to begin with and resented that such a obvious clown could seemingly keep failing upwards, and it was even worse than I could've imagined. His first ASU press conference was such a shit show it defied explanation. But here's an article that mentions most of it, minus not knowing a single player's name. It was pure, unadulterated, vintage Herm.

Summary of Herm's opening ASU press conference

**** no. He hit on a Few personnel decisions. But here’s the reality of it. Those teams were ****ing horrible with a few good players.

Here’s a stat for you. More players on Vermiels final roster (remember he packed the team full of old overpaid vets) played an additional 3 years in the league than did the final roster of Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards (remember he did a youth movement).

Obviously most of those guys he picked up sucked ****ing balls. Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards was absolutely abhorrent at every single aspect of his job.

This is wild, apparently people inside the athletic department were trying to sabotage him. It sounds like Herm never really put in the effort, and even aside from that, the ASU athletic department is kind of a mess. They probably need to clean house all the way through.

https://saturdayoutwest.com/arizona-...edwards-fired/

Quote:

Though Edwards never had a losing season, he entered the 2022 campaign very firmly on the hot seat. So much so, according to Haller, that people inside the athletic department were loose with team intel in the hopes of inducing a coaching change.

From Haller’s report:

An opposing coach recently told The Athletic that it wasn’t hard to get intel on this season’s team because some within Arizona State athletics wanted a coaching change.

That’s not what you want to see.

Haller also reported that Edwards “never bothered” to familiarize himself with NCAA bylaws and made some in the department feel he had to be babysat.

Herm Edwards flying commercial out of Tempe after getting fired on the field is the saddest scene imaginable

By Coleman Bentley
September 19, 2022

How was your weekend? Did your car break down? Did your date cancel? Did you run out of toilet paper or catch COVID? Are you a fan of the Cleveland Browns? All qualifying factors for a “bad weekend,” no doubt. But no matter how bad it got [cough Cardinals under bettors cough], take some solace in the fact that it wasn’t as rough as Herm Edwards’.

On Saturday, the former Arizona State ball coach lost by double digits on home turf to Eastern Michigan. As Edwards left the field, he was greeted by ASU’s president and AD in the end zone. A brief conversation and some condolences ensued, and Edwards was escorted toward the tunnel. A short while later it was announced that Edwards had been relieved of his duties.

Herm Edwards was met by the ASU President and AD on the way off the field last night.

I’ve heard of getting tarmac’d but I think Herm is the first coach I’ve seen to get end zone’d… pic.twitter.com/GLQXU5XC9F
— Jon Tweets Sports (@jontweetssports) September 19, 2022

Did Edwards get fired right there on the turf for all the players, cameras, and janitorial staff to see? We may never know for certain, but if so, it's gotta be one of the most brutal shitcannings in CFB history. Then to make matters even worse, on Monday, hours after losing his cushy D1 job, Edwards was seen leaving the great state of Arizona once and for all … on a commercial flight.

Herm out here flying commercial after getting canned. Couldn't stand him on ESPN. He may lead the history of civilization in using the most words to say the least. Makes my skin crawl. Never has there been anyone who deserved the success they've had less.

I think of that line from Macbeth every time I see/hear him:

I hope he sat in coach* in the far back next to the bathroom and somebody took a stanky shit that stunk & every time the door opened Herm would smell it.

Seriously, why do people hate him so much?

trndobrd 09-24-2022 10:31 AM

Herm is no longer in the tolerance box.

The sad thing is he's actually an outstanding person, who just happens to reeeally suck at coaching football

scho63 09-24-2022 10:58 AM

Buehler445 should offer him a job picking corn in front of his combine.

HonestChieffan 09-24-2022 11:44 AM

Mizzou needs to look into a run at Herm

He knows he sucks as coach and he will drag out his suck until you fire him. He's there for the pay check, not to find a solution or make those around him better. He's an easy guy to like when you hear him talk, but it's all about giving people what they want to hear, not how he or his team is going to get better.

For example, "Hello, you play to win the game," demonstrates the obvious issues he not willing to address.

And he’s back at ESPN ready to resume his terrible takes…

Not so much. At least in Tempe he was withering in obscurity. ESPN will probably give him his job back and while I don’t watch any opinion shit, I’ll probably hear more from that bag of dog balls than I’ve heard while he was coach.

Hopefully he’ll retire. But you can bet whatever he’s doing he’s going to puke cliches while being wholly terrible at every aspect of what he’s trying to do. There is plenty of evidence to the affirmative and very very little to the negative.

**** that dude.

****ing Prophetic.

GOD **** Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards and his diarrhea of cliches.
