i sat there with rapid fire on a single elite skeleton for at least 5 seconds and his health bar barely moved. That's with a 800dps weapon. Now i don't have the best weapon but they only go up to 1200dps so it's not like it sucks.

I just couldn't do enough damage to kill the elite skeleton in the act 1 cathedral section.


I'm basically going to have to double my Dex before i can complete act 1

Whoa, does that mean you cannot select quests or you cannot glitch multiplayer to get a harder lvl furher into the acts?

that is prolly why your having trouble. rapid fire is cool to look at on act 1 normal but nothing more. it requires you to stand still.standing still in inferno = death. try elemental arrow with the nether rune

Has any one read the 1.0.3 patch preview? I can't find it but a lot of people are quoting sections of it on the forums and 1 quote says that Blizzard is intending to increase the rez timer... WTF?

Rapid fire is a 228% weapons damage attack so the damage is about as high as it gets for a constant fire type attack for a DH next to multishot. Rapid fire with web also slows the mob which also gets me another 15% damage increase from the passive talent about hitting slowed mobs. Of course steady aim also gives another 20% damage if mobs are not close.

Rapid fire is terrible. Nether Tentacles is the best DPS DH has.

well then the description is wrong because rapid fire is listed as the highest constant damage available.

Nether Tentacles can hit a mob more than once. You're banging your head in Act 1 and blowing off two people that play the same class as you and are a lot further through the game.

the damage does you nothing when your dead. it doesn't matter if it is 500% damage if you dead it doesn't't help. multi shot is also not worth using because it doesn't have the control.

in inferno it is all above being active an moving. slowing the mobs is not going to do much of anything. you have to be kiting an moving non stop. maybe when they nerf the mobs other things will be usable but for now both of those skills are wasted sir.

yep this is a huge factor people do not account for. your in a hallway with mobs standing 5 deep. most shots hit the first guys. but nether will hit all 5
