I'm ashamed

I broke my rule. I watched the Super Bowl last night. I hadn't watched one in 12 years... I think? The last I watched was when the Rams beat the Titans. Was that 2000? Anyway I said then that I'm not watching this over-blown thing again until the Chiefs were playing in it... and I stayed true to my word until this year. There was a bet involved too.

I like the Ravens. My daughters name is Raven. I hate the 49ers. They had the Montana/Young years so they can suck it. I didn't watch the Ravens first Super Bowl win but this one I couldn't help. I really hate the 49ers. I wanted to see Baltimore beat the shit out of them... like I predicted... and they did for a half. Then everything got stupid. But at least the Ravens/Flacco won. I'm a fan. **** the 49ers.

Now go Chiefs.

what kind of man doesn't watch the Super Bowl?

Dr. Johnny Fever 02-04-2013 06:21 PM

I don't care about Ray Lewis. He's a player on a team I was rooting for. Really the butthurt over him is re-god-damn-diculous.

I didn't.

I watched maybe 20% of it.

People who are don't care about doing what's popular over doing what they want. It's just a game that my team is never in. Yawn. I enjoyed last night though.

It's not him. There are a ****load of jackasses just like him. It's the NON-MOTHER****ING-STOP COVERAGE THAT USED UP PILE OF **** GETS FROM THE NO-GOOD PIECE OF ****ING HORSE ****ING A BULL SHITSTORM THAT IS ALL NFL COVERAGE. He's right there with Teblows for unnecessary media coverage.

Watch the SB? It seems popular.

BlackHelicopters 02-04-2013 07:27 PM

At one point in time the Chiefs could say they had played in half of all the Super Bowls. Sigh.

|Zach| 02-04-2013 07:37 PM

I enjoy the games...for the most part...def last night though was a great game. I think the key is to watch none of the build up and the hype. Then all you have is a great game of championship football to enjoy without all this surrounding bullshit.

I agree with that. I didn't watch any ESPN or other coverage for the two weeks leading up so the game stood on it's own. Was much better imo.

Yeah, I managed to miss ALL of the 2 week buildup. It was wondrous.

Likewise, I didn't turn on the TV until 10 minutes before kickoff.

It's too much imo. I realize I'm not the normal rabid football fan who will watch anything football but after two weeks it's all but dead to me if my team isn't in it. I watched this one because I was hoping the Ravens would kick butt. It turned out to be an entertaining game everything included.

It seems that you have self-esteem issues, no, clearly you have self-esteem issues.

QuikSsurfer 02-04-2013 07:50 PM

That's pretty ****ing weird for a football fan not to watch the super bowl for 12 straight years. You've missed some great games and potentially some good parties..
I like to watch football.. Especially the biggest football game of the year.

I like the game. But the bullshit ESPN garbage is nuts. Just ****ing nuts. It was worse for the NCAA Championship game.

I feel so left out. I can't see highlights.

I didn't expect most to get it. OMG you didn't watch the Super Bowl?! It's the same pop culture many here protest... but it's different right?

Pin Head 02-04-2013 08:07 PM

I didn't say that I take issue with a Superbowl win or loss....that's your stance, no?

Ok, but your position is that you have no interest in the game unless your team is participating.

Pretty much. It's just a game and a pop culture event. BTW my team wasn't participating and I still watched. So I'm still waiting for your point... any day now.

You're going back and editing your posts concerning it's content, not regarding spelling errorrs, Johnny. What gives?

Dr. Johnny Fever 02-04-2013 08:29 PM

OK you're as boring as the rest of the stupid n00bs. Drink another. Make less sense... as long as you keep up the dumb fight.

Phobia 02-04-2013 08:51 PM

I always watch. I don't know why you wouldn't want to but you're self-admitted a much bigger baseball fan than football so whatever floats your boat.

stevieray 02-04-2013 08:59 PM

I'm surprised you didn't start this thread before the SB, and subsequently start another thread for the aftermath of sweeping and utter shame.

Right. One isn't allowed to defend a position on CP. This is where the loudest idiot wins. Geno... Andy Reid... idiots rule.

Fair enough. Can't go against what the moron populous thinks.

Pin Head 02-04-2013 09:24 PM

Moron populous? Because we watched the Super Bowl? Hardly. Regardless of all the hoopla and hype around the game, you get to watch two elite football teams and some of the best players in the sport compete against each other. Same reason we watch the World Series, NBA Finals... the Olympics, etc, etc.

He can't defend his position without looking like an idiot...so he edited his position thinking it would alter that perception.

Bump 02-04-2013 09:48 PM

What's the real reason why you haven't watched a Superbowl in 12 years?

Is it

A. You don't care unless your team is in it.
B. You want to tell everyone how different and unique you are by not watching it.
C. You never get invited to any Superbowl parties, so it makes you sad to watch it.
D. You don't watch TV or football.

Leave this forum forever.

Hammock Parties 02-05-2013 09:09 AM

If you're really feeling bad about it, perhaps arrange a meeting with Matt Cassel? He's great at cheering people up. Contact the Chiefs IMMEDIATELY. Matt Cassel is a great guy and will do anything for you.
