There is our RB. A lot of guys in draft planet wanted him pretty bad.

I'm down.

RealSNR 04-28-2017 08:41 PM

Dante, this is a reerun move of yours.

You posted a *No Spoilers* NFL draft thread.

Then you started a thread a good 5 minutes before the pick is announced on TV.

You didn't spoil the pick for the thread. You spoiled the pick for the forum.

staylor26 04-28-2017 08:41 PM

****ing awesome

It's been announced where I am... your tv behind?

MMXcalibur 04-28-2017 08:42 PM

"Sure, why not?"
I don't follow college football, so this is generally my feeling when we draft someone.

Why Not? 04-28-2017 08:42 PM

Great pick. He's a bad ass

Titty Meat 04-28-2017 08:42 PM

Is he Orlandis Garys kid? Plays just like him.

Baby Lee 04-28-2017 08:43 PM

Isn't Kareem Hunt the original name for Hope Solo's frontbutt?

Easy 6 04-28-2017 08:44 PM

He sure looks damn good in the highlights ESPN is showing, Louis Riddick even threw out an Emmitt Smith comparison

Couch-Potato 04-28-2017 08:44 PM

Emmitt Smith comparison, say whaaa?

Simply Red 04-28-2017 08:46 PM

KHunt!

Dante84 04-28-2017 08:47 PM

Holy shit. This kid's vision and adjustments are ELITE

0 career fumbles, too

Captain Obvious 04-28-2017 08:48 PM

Approved. He's going to be a stud.

OldSchool 04-28-2017 08:48 PM

4.62 40 time? Bleh. Holes close fast in the NFL. Hope he has great short area burst at least.

CapsLockKey 04-28-2017 08:48 PM

I imagine Clark is pretty stoked to wear this guys jersey

I like his plant and glide skills.

Lot more flailing arms instead of crushing shoulders coming at him.

I like him. A complete back. He had a huge year receiving as a senior so he can flourish under Reid's system.

Probably running a committee of Hunt/Ware this year.

Red Dawg 04-28-2017 08:55 PM

He fights for certain and is better than West and Reeves. He also didn't fumble in 2016 at all.

He's not going to have the advantage of that dominant OL in Pittsburgh. Pitt, arguably, has the best interior in the league with Pouncey and DeCastro anchoring.Bell can play the way he does because those guys can open holes up like it's nobody's business. Chiefs are far away from that level of competency.

Yea except he doesn't fumble and he's a more natural pass catcher out the backfield.

Ehinger replacing Zach Fulton is already going to be a huge step in that direction, such that I think we can call the line "good enough" as a run blocking unit.

pugsnotdrugs19 04-28-2017 09:03 PM

So, looking at the roster...

QB: Check
RB: Check
WR: Check, maybe depth
TE: Check, maybe depth
OL: Check
--
DL: Check
ILB: Need
OLB: Depth needed
CB: ?
S: Check

I can see Ware/Hunt combo wearing defenses out.

Well either way, it would mean finally no longer needing Knile Davis anymore, mercifully.

No doubt I just meant natural ability to do so. He wasn't as good towards the end of the season in that department IIRC though.

Keep in mind though that last year was the first year the KC O-line were playing in a group, minus Ehinger, were playing in a consistent basis.

Fisher - 26
Ehinger - 24
Morse - 25
LDT - 26
Schwartz - 27

This is a very young offensive line, in terms of age, in my opinion. They'll have plenty of opportunities to grow and be a cohesive line.

mdchiefsfan 04-28-2017 09:08 PM

He may not have top-end speed, but he's got burst, patience and vision. Those three attributes can prove worthwhile. We just need the o-line to do their job; they've been spoiled by J-Charles.

wazu 04-28-2017 09:09 PM

Perhaps the 16 game schedule kind of wore him down, since this was his 3rd year, and 2nd year on the active roster?

Something to consider.

Daniel Jeremiah is a big Kareem Hunt fan.

Mayock said loves his contact balance...takes a lot to get him on the ground.

You speak the truth. All JC needed was half way blocks and he's past the LOS.

Hammock Parties 04-28-2017 09:12 PM

When your QB is a big play machine you don't need a big play threat at RB.

You need a guy to move the chains so your QB gets more opportunities to rape a defense.

Frank Gore? If he's got that in him, he'll last a long time in this league.

CapsLockKey 04-28-2017 09:16 PM

Dude should be invaluable in the red zone. Spencer Ware seemed to struggle at times near the goal line.

pugsnotdrugs19 04-28-2017 09:18 PM

I like the idea of beating Hunt and Ware into a defense back and forth. A small sprinkle of Charcandrick, too. Not much though.

O.city 04-28-2017 09:19 PM

Seems to have good vision.

RunKC 04-28-2017 09:20 PM

This guys balance is insane. He makes it hard for guys to take him down. Always getting extra bards from staying upright after a missed tackle.

ROFL

Because I don't like slow RBs/skills players in general? Like I said, hope his burst and balance is sufficient enough to make him an effective runner even if his top speed isn't what you would hope for.

Charcandrick is a back-up. Nothing more.

pugsnotdrugs19 04-28-2017 09:35 PM

I've heard some say they would have preferred Foreman (who Houston took just after us)

Can't see why though. Not as good of a hit, and Foreman fumbled 7 times last year compared to Foreman's zero.
