“Tyreek has some things to catch up on.”

Interesting talk about this on 810. Andy and Pat didn’t say this now, but they’ve said before that Andy liked drawing plays/formations from Texas Tech to be comfortable with Pat.

I bet there’s some new shit this year that was partly Pat’s idea

Dante84 07-23-2019 04:30 PM

Andy *almost* let it slip that he felt bad that Tyreek had to "go through something," which of course implies that the cause was external (i/e - Crystal & co). You can hear him correct himself or fumble over his words.

I liked that.

Dipshits are already trying to claim Mahomes isn't going to be as lucky, and he'll throw 20+ INTs. It's all baseless bullshit that people used against him back when he was getting drafted.

"Gunslinger!"
"Can't do those throws in the NFL, will get picked off!"
"Too much of the Air Raid was put in... defenses can adjust to that... Mahomes has yet to not have any of his receivers wide open..."
"The tape!"

But let's say Mahomes does regress. Let's say he does throw a few more INTs and significantly fewer TDs and yards. Let's say he puts up a statline like this:

66% Completion, 4710 yards, 34 TDs, 15 INTs, passer rating 105.5

You'd say, "Still pretty good, but eek... that actually was a pretty glaring drop."

Well, that pretty glaring drop would be the statline of Philip Rivers' BEST statistical season.

So eat shit, Charger dick suckers

I would love Mahomes to throw 50+ TD’s but I am hoping he doesn’t have to at the same time.

tredadda 07-23-2019 07:40 PM

If Mahomes stats drops it will be less about him regressing and more about the defense improving and him not having to win shootouts every game.

I'm caught between if the defense is much better he shouldn't need to throw 50 to win as many games this season but on the other hand if the defense is much better we could gain a couple offensive possessions per game on average so he could throw more than 50.

RunKC 07-23-2019 07:41 PM

I hope Mahomes doesn’t throw 50 TD’s again bc that will mean that the defense is doing its part and Pat will be handing the ball off to milk clock in the 2nd half of games

Airplane is currently destroyed. It can be rebuilt tho.

I'll be interested to see how the offense evolves this year. It seems like the last 3 years Andy has gotten more and more creative and it's totally thrown defenses off.

I am very happy to be alive to witness the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl this year.

If you're sure the next plane is going to crash and you're going to die, aim for the Star building.

Holy crap

Glad you're okay.

What happened?

saphojunkie 07-23-2019 08:34 PM

Don't let an airplane crash hijack the thread.

That's how the terrorists win!

Or we're up by 18 - 21 points, the back ups are out there and we're bleeding the clock.

I'd take that over shootouts every week.

One last time before I am wholly focused on 2019: **** the 2018 Chiefs defense and Grandpa Bob.

OK, now buckle up and hold on for one awesome season.
