Its not. It is a couple hundred lbs lighter with wider tires (drag radials) on 18" rims, with a bit more HP. Its basically HC on a diet, with drag radials and more power. So it will easily be faster. Its sole purpose is to go very fast in a straight line and it will do that very well. It's a legit street legal 10 sec car with factory warranty.

Crazy technology. the Demon in drag mode used the AC compressor to cool the intake air up to 45 degrees.

If you're stuffing raw HP into a clunky frame, just move on up to the Trackhawk

Yea, I read that. Is that in addition to a heat exchanger? Wont the compressor being on rob power?

They've been hush-hush on it until recently, but as much as I can suss. The compressor is parasitic while compressing during non-acceleration. The cold-induction is triggered by a hard launch, perhaps part of the launch control package, where the compressor is turned off and the gasses decompressed and cooled over the air intake plenum.

It's an amusing indicator of how much society has changed since 1971 when the Demon name was dropped after only two model years.
