John Dorsey's staff meeting at the Senior Bowl
Didn't see this posted... from earlier this week at the Senior Bowl practices (from Gretz's website: http://www.bobgretz.com/)

what if the people playing in the senior bowl were actual senior citizens that would be pretty funny ha ha
|
Todd Haley sitting to his right.
|
I have not seen a finer football conversation in that stadium since Thomas Jefferson ate nachos there alone.
|
Scooters meetings were literally by himself let alone input from 20 guys.

I think Geno Smith has hurt himself badly by not being there. Not saying we won't draft him but he isn't making his own case as to why we should when others are.
|
These meetings are probably to be sure that the scouts are all on the same page as Dorsey.
Getting the Pioli shit cleansed. |

Whatever the purpose of that meeting, everyone sans Andy Reid looks pretty dialed in.

Are you saying that after a combined total of 300 hours of overtime we are going to draft a Defensive Tackle in round one anyway?
|
Anyone know who all the other dudes are?

Dorsey : "Well fellas, from observing the QB's today were F'D and the one we needed to see decided $$ is more important than competing so it looks like that left tackle from Central Michigan will be our first pick. Scooter ! Get Alex Smith's agent on the horn now !!! |

And why would you compete knowing you started off the season hot and then went to luke warm to cold in the 2nd half of the season and now risking playing subpar(many things out of your control) in the SB only to further build more suspicion in the GM's and Scout's minds that you "aren't all that" as advertised:shrug: |
Quote:
Didn't Luck and RGIII not compete last year and if so did they have a lack of character this past NFL Season? |

If anything, Genos stock stayed the same and the others fell...distancing himself from the rest.
When he runs a 4.6-4.7 40 and interviews well at the combine, there should be no question who our pick will be. |
Top QBs commonly don't play. A chance to get hurt and fall down the board, not worth the risk. Scouts always say it hurts them but it never does.

RG3 started as a true freshman in 2008, tore his acl in 2009 and received a redshirt for the season. Also a senior when he entered the draft. Play again? |
Quote:
http://www.redskinshogheaven.com/201...-prevails.html Juniors are not eligible to play in the Senior Bowl. Andrew Luck and Griffin 3rd are redshirt juniors and the game is not called the Junior-Senior Bowl. Both the Senior Bowl and the Shrine Game are leaving money on the table by depriving the viewing audience of Draft-eligible undergrads like Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III. |

http://www.redskins.com/news-and-eve...4-dde046b47201 " Remember that Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck both left school as redshirt juniors." Better yet how about one little link that supports your wrong information. |

Luck and Griffin both had a year of eligibility left. While seniors academically they are considered underclassmen. Luck returned for his redshirt junior year he could have left as a redshirt sophomore. So to clear neither were senior bowl eligible, redshirting doesn't go you get in.

There were underclassmen in the Sr. Bowl this year.

It just nice to see that people are working with each other, instead of working against each other trying to prove who is the bigger man.
|
they are analyzing still photos to see which QB is better at dropping back

It doesn't matter geno smith need to be in a private tryout where he can throw to people he know to show off his skills.

Doesn't matter, they both had another year of eligibility like Mecca said. Also, they were NOT going to play in that game. |
Major lack of class by luck and griffin for not returning for their senior years.

Either way he was a redshirt junior and had a year of eligibility left. I do not believe that garners an invite to the senior bowl. |

The senior bowl not that important. His pro day will be big for him

If they had gone back for heir final year of eligibility, they would have been 5th year seniors. Get over it. They had been at school 4 yrs each and a member of the football team 4 yrs each. They were seniors. One year of eligibility left on their football careers doesn't change that fact.

Dorsey has an Ipad and they're reading the streaming adult websites thread.

This would be a bad sign if the only reason they're meeting in the stands is because someone forgot to reserve a conference room at their Holiday Inn.
