Watched the post-game presser for Mahomes, and feeling better.

Watching Mahomes take post game questions, he made me believe he's okay. Which means this team is okay. We're spoiled. We expect damn near ungodly perfection because that's what Mahomes and company practically delivered last year.

The last two weeks, Mahomes has thrown for 594 yards, 4 TDs, and 1 (bullshit) INT. Against teams that have winning records. And honestly it's been a disappointment, which illustrates how crazy high the bar is for this team. Have we ever had a QB that can put up those numbers during our "down" games? The defense has struggled but I don't think it's any worse than last year, and I do think the scheme is more sound than what we had before. (And this comes from somebody who was not happy with the Spags hire.)

The thing that is hampering us is injuries, but the good news is they aren't season-ending injuries. If we get through this stretch and start getting guys back the Chiefs could very well be the best team in the AFC heading into the playoffs.

Defense not any worse? We are allowing 350 yards more on the ground at this point then we did last year. Albeit pass defense is better

Would've been nice to win at least 1 of these 2 home games. The good news is both were extremely winnable even with us playing like damn fools.

31st overall defense in 2018. 28th overall defense in 2019 so far. We can quibble over stats, but for me it's the eye test. People can run on us, but if our offense gets going they'll have to abandon that game plan.

we were up 17-3 and they didn’t abandon the run today.

We didn't keep scoring. We sat at 17 for a long while. Our offense wasn't clicking. It will.

It's interesting to note that Patrick Mahomes is averaging almost 40 passing yards more per game in 2019 compared to what he had at this point in 2018. He's at 2,104 yards now, compared to 1,865 last year.

Yeah the offense really shit their pants these last two games but that's largely due to the ankle and injuries on the line. Like to see Andy use his screen game more. Mahomes got a little deep ball happy today. Own the Donks again this week.

The officiating had something to do with that. We were about to blow them out of the stadium before the flags started flying. I don't think the refs bias games toward one team or another, but I do have a hypothesis that they call tighter on one side of the ball to keep games close. Some day I will have enough time to process the data to test my hypothesis.

As much as I love Pat we need to run more. There is no balance to the offense right now

Watch Kelce, he is held non stop. Some penalties get called and some don't.

Sorry, but in the NFL you can't afford to lose "games you're supposed to win" and you're damn sure not supposed to lose home games in which you have a 17 to 3 lead.

Mahomes can say whatever he wants and Wally can "tighten up" every screw and bolt in the weight room, but that's not going to change outcomes when we commit 20 penalties a game and basically raise the white flag on defense after the 2nd quarter.

You win consistently in the NFL with a balanced team. And we ain't got none.

Non stop.

He's getting mugged off the line on every snap. Wally needs to move him outside and find a slot WR who can catch over the middle in traffic ("catch" being the operative word).

Just assessing the reality of this team's potential. Yes, it's really frustrating to lose the way we lost today. But it isn't fatal. We're still 4-2 and in the lead for the division. And we're not healthy right now, which can change. I get being down, but there is reason for hope.
