If Hosmer spit-roasted a ball over the left center field wall against MadBum in the Bottom of the 9th in Game 7 (leading us to eventual victory), then maybe we could argue his postseason contributions outweighed George "GOAT" Brett.

But otherwise, I don't think it's that close.

I would also argue that Alex Gordon had equally clutch moments to Hosmer in the 14-15 postseasons.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I don't have DNA evidence of his, sworn affidavits from his dealers, or video tape showing him injecting.

You forgot the one that started it all: Brett's game-tying 3-run HR off Grant Jackson in the 8th inning of Game 5 of the 1976 ALCS.

Thanks a lot for making me remember Mark Littel giving up the game and series winning HR to Chambliss in the bottom of the 9th.

Asshole...

Well, **** then, duncan's recalling Brett's 3-HR game should've given you flashbacks to Thurman Munson's HR off Doug ****ing Bird in the same game. :p

“He looked buffer one Spring Training” or “he went from batting 322 to 340” isn’t enough for me to assume that a stand up guy and all around great baseball player did steroids.

This is just more proof that fans and sports reporters alike really don’t know these athletes

Um, no no no buddy. He didn't go from 332 to 340.

Not even close. Try again.

I didn’t say 332.

He went from 322 (his first full season) to 333 to 304 to 340.

Where did the roids come in?

Rasputin 02-19-2018 03:23 PM

Hosmer leads all Royals single post season RBI with 27 compared to George Brett 23. So I was right you can look at post season stats and say Hosmer was better than George Brett.

Could Tyler Collins win the starting center fielder job just because he bats left handed? He and Alex Gordon would be the only two lefties in the starting line up. Unless, Ryan O'Hearn wins the first base job. That'd make three.

Why Not? 02-19-2018 03:42 PM

Let's be honest. Does it really matter?
