was never a dream to begin with. was merely mass media pushing a narrative due to their lack of fondness towards alex. he doesn't POP like they want him to, unless its his head hitting the indy concrete. :D

We still haven't cut Foles. I wonder if they are seeing how much Glennon could be bringing in and there might be a market for him? His cap hit is 6.75 next year. Not really ridiculous like the 10 mil it was thought to be

His option will be declined Thursday.

I'd love to bring Glennon in, but he's gonna get a contract close to what Alex has as far as salary goes.

And, just imagine that.. a journeyman guy with a 5-13 record is going to get $15M+ a year? The NFL is a great gig if you can make it. When guys like Cassel can make 2X the earnings of a guy like J Charles, it's crazy.

I mean, Josh McCown has earned $23M... at least that's somewhat digestable over 14 years.

I'm still under the belief that Jerry cuts Romo after June 1. It works out much better for him and honestly, he doesn't care what that does to Romo's options.

He can just designate him a June 1st cut now without having to wait till then. It works out the same except that it lets Tony look for a new team now instead of March. And I disagree with you on Jerry not caring about Romo. I think he'd bend over backwards for both Romo and Witten to please them.

Yeah, so you're suggesting Jerry would say "let me eat the $19M all this year because I can't miss out on McCown as my #2?"

That's crazy talk... all these tweets and news reports are littered with "if" and "could". Takes you back to the possible vs probable way to look at things.

If Romo does get to pick between Houston and Dinkey land he'd better pick Houston. Team is strong but more importantly they play in a weaker division. He won't last in ours with DL's smacking him every game.

I don't see Houston committing to $30M in cap for 2 QBs... do you? Brock is a $19M cap hit this year... and they have about $23M in space.

Let's say they want to spend the money. Does Romo want to deal with that QB drama? Does he want to remain in Texas under the Dallas shadow?

The question is does Houston want him but he definitely wants to stay in Texas. His wife and kids live there.

He's going to eat the same amount of money either way. Romo is getting cut and most likely in the next week. They'll just designate it a June 1st cut but it won't change the fact that he'll be a free agent next week.

He's probably just letting Houston in the discussion for the purposes of negotiating with Denver.

So, you can do that... cut a player prior to June 1 and designate as after? I've never paid attention to it. If you're right, then yeah - he's gone in hours, one would think.

I don't know that he has much control over rumor and speculation. I doubt that Denver would let the threat of Houston being in the picture impact their offer. Hell, there are 3-5 teams that should be in the mix.
