2019 Gambling Challenge - Super Bowl
 

The betting windows are open for Super Bowl wagering!

I am going to allow bets to be submitted via PM, but it is not a requirement. Any bets submitted to me via PM will be posted here shortly after kickoff.

Regarding Super Bowl Wagering: As in previous years, I have added some prop bets for the Super Bowl to make things a little more interesting. These will be; 1st Half spread, 1st Half Money Line, 1st Half Over/Under, First Team to Score and Last Team to Score.

The 1st Half Spread and Over/Under will be bet like normal bets, the 1st Half Money Line and First/Last Team to Score will be bet like a money line bet. As all other bets go, the Min/Max on these is $500/$5,000 (unless you are all-in)

And because our Chiefs are in the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years, I'm adding even more prop bets. These are just for fun and will have a min/max of $100/$100

Any bets entered with the wrong line or wrong teams, or posted after the scheduled kickoff time (5:30 PM CST) will be void!


PLEASE read the rules here.
The number one rule you need to remember is that editing your bets is not allowed and is subject to immediate disqualification.

Remember that you must place a wager every 3 weeks at minimum. If you go without betting for 3 consecutive weeks, you will be disqualified.

The following people must bet this week or be disqualified for violating this rule.

How to bet the Money Line

Sample line

First off, a money bet is a straight up win/lose bet. No points involved, so of course there are odds payoffs.

If you want to bet on the Saints, you will win $223 for every $100 that you bet. Conversely, for the Colts, you will win $100 for every $243 that you bet.

In other words, the team with the - money line is the favorite (therefore lower payout) and the team with the + is the under dog.

I'm not sure with my acadental counter bet an the 49ers I type everything in on word then copy and past befor the game and had the 49ers bets at the end because I thought I might change my mind and made the mastake of coping that one.

Thanks, I appreciate it. This contest has ran every year of CP's existence and I've been doing it for the last 15.

That said, I've been considering calling it quits. It's a lot of work, especially early in the season when a majority of the people are still in it. I'd like to see someone take it over and keep it running for the next 15+ years. I'd be happy to hand over the spreadsheet I use and would be available to train how to use it.

Is anyone interested in taking over?
