Hendrix said Kath was better.
The Group 'Chicago' otherwise known as "Chicago Transit Authority" in their early days headlined for Hendrix for awhile. Jimi said Terry was better than he was. Here is the Tanglewood concert from 1970 specifically the tune 25 or 6 to 4 where Kath absolutely is shredding it out of this world. I know many of you know this story already but to see what Hendrix was talking about and being able to catch this amazing solo on video at the time was very fortunate. Enjoy !!

Yep, from 3:20 to 5:40 he get into it.
But there were many other songs where he just went off and freelanced and the band was like WTF is he doing in amazement. They were both good, but each generation has their litter of great guitar players. There was a poll I seen some time ago where Kath wasn't in the top 100. :shake: I knew right away they didn't know what they were polling about, polls voted by young fans, the people they had in them were awful. |

Really appreciated, but really a Q.

Kath doesn't deviate from the blues shapes/ pentatonic scale. Jimi took it outside, which is always better

Didn't hear anything there to say he's better than Jimi, at all. Likely just Jimi being modest.

Prince better than both
