Week 10 Stat Comparison 2022/2023
1/2 way thru the season (9 games played) - Offensive Production with a slight drop (6.8 points per game average - about a TD a game and we ended 2 games with kneel downs in the red zone). Turnovers on offense seem to be a problem though - 1.8 per game average this year vs 1.3 last year. Defense though has really gone ham - 15.8 PPG average this year vs 25.2 last year. Significantly better plus 1.5 turnovers per game this year vs less than 1 last year.
After looking at this I feel much better about our team than I did before. 2022 / 2023 Record: 7-2 / 7-2 Points For: 270 / 208 Passing TD's: 26 / 17 Rushing TD's: 6 / 4 Passing Yards: 2,825 / 2,473 Rushing Yards: 983 / 934 Offensive Turnovers: 12 / 17 Points Against : 227 / 143 Passing TD's Allowed: 19 / 12 Rushing TD's Allowed: 5 / 3 Passing Yards Against: 2,236 / 1,584 Rushing Yards Against: 891 / 1,010 Defensive Turnovers: 8 / 13 Sacks: 27 / 31 |
1500 passing yards allowed in 9 games is nuts ROFL

Dilly Dilly

700 ****ing pass yards? wow
|
Clean up those turnovers and the offense will look a lot better
|
Defense is outstanding. Why can't the offense be better? Hope they figure it out. Because with this defense, we'll have a shot.
|
Defense is dominating
|
Pat accounts for 258 of those rushing yards as our 2nd leading rusher. Last season, he ran for 358 yards total.

It's interesting.
I think the second half stats will be much better offensively. |

2023 to me looks much better than 2022. At this point in the season my feeling is our defense pretty much is what it is. And ours is awesome. Offense on the other hand can keep improving. We have the QB and the coaching brain trust and the personnel aren't all that different from last year. (If anything, improved.)
Also some perspective, for all of our offensive "struggles", the Chiefs have the #8 offense in yards per game. And we really haven't been in any "shoot-out" games yet. |
Defense has been stellar.
Turnovers are the biggest difference this season wrt offensive production. Same record. Clean up the O, get a bit more production from the WRs, keep the D on track, win back-to-back. :thumb: |

I'm not liking the Offensive numbers this year so far but I think we have room to improve. |
Obviously a couple of victory formations lowers those points totals, but there are two issues with this year's offense. One is the turnovers, the second is finishing drives. If they get those cleaned up in the second half, they'll be rolling come playoff time.
