When I lived with my buddies we had the best bachelor pad. 32 oz of Miller High Life was 96 cents. We couldn't afford much, but when we came across $5 we all had one. Nothing better than sitting on the porch having a Miller talking about life and what ever came to mind.

I grew up surfing, and the pre-surf Miller High Life made the waves look bigger (I swear), and the post surf Miller High Life was just awesome as awesome coul be.

High Life is without a doubt the best of the cheap beers. I love that stuff out of the glass bottles.

Just finished my last day at my previous employer. I start a new job this coming Monday (which is actually back at my old job that I left two years ago). I'm getting a 30% increase in annual salary and starting next October I'll begin accruing 4 weeks of paid vacation annually. If the company is doing well in a given year, I can expect large annual bonuses. It's really validating and rewarding to have a company make that big of an effort to let you know how valuable you are. My previous employer went balls out to bring me back and I am pretty excited about it.

Of course, my stress level is probably going to increase at least 30% to go along with my salary increasae, but I hope to learn to deal with it :)

So I have a 4 day weekend and I'm having the following celebratory brew:

A German style lager, our Bock carries a brownish color, a medium body, and a mouthwatering smoothness from the wonderful malt and sweet caramel flavors.

The chocolate flavors are very strong, and it's pretty good. But I don't normally associate that with a "bock" type beer.

Merlot, I highly recommend Tobin James if you can get your hands on some. Living an hour away from wine country (Paso Robles) is a luxury.

tonight I been drinking lips of faith Kriek and Stone's Enjoy By 4.20.14. Got some dogfish head 90 minute ipa still primed and ready in the fridge. that kriek at 8% abv kinda caught up to me.

Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc. Fantastic.

Lagunitas maximus IPA is fantastic. 8.2 percent alcohol, after 4 or 5 you'll be feeling pretty toasty. At least for me. Tonight been drinking Fosters.

Excellent haul for me this weekend. Graduated medical school and received a bottle of Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy and Tullamore Dew Phoenix. I am very nervous to open the Middleton. By far the most expensive alcohol I have ever owned.

Before anyone calls me a racist, my wife is Mexican and I showed her this as I typed it. She chuckled.

I ****ing love the Mexicans. They redid our floors when we moved in and they worked all day without taking a lunch to get it done. Whistling tunes as they did. They work way harder than any white person for the same job. And before anyone asks, they were licensed. I'll be finding more awesome Mexicans to redo my backyard.
