Would you draft a 4'8" QB? At some point, height does matter. The question is what is the line of demarcation? If it's not Murray's size, it's damn close.

Height is overrated. QBs throw between defenders, not directly over their heads.

Weight is also overrated. A lot of QBs come into the league looking like a street corner teenager. Tom Brady looked like shit.

It is hard to see where to throw that ball when you are trying to look through 10+ players at the widest part of their bodies. If he needs to throw into the flat he is going to have to lob that ball over the players, making that ball easier and more likely to get intercepted. It is going to be much harder for a short person to use the screen game also.

I doubt he gets drafted first round

Think about it: in a year you can have more money and be competing for a starting NFL QB job or be in high single A/maybe AA riding the bus and dreaming of the majors.

It's not even particularly close.

I caught part of a show about his dad over the weekend. He definitely didn't want him riding buses

Hope he saves his NFL rookie contract, because it's going to be the last paycheck he gets that doesn't involve selling insurance or working for a relative.

I disagree. He'll make money in MLB if he busts in nfl.

He’s not a first round talent. I think his time would be better spent developing his baseball skills. His small frame is going to get him hurt.

I think he's got assurance by at least 1 team that they're planning to take him in the first.

Sorry 02-11-2019 07:35 PM

He should be a slot wr. His athleticism is off the cbarts

Yeah there is a huge difference between 5'8" and 5'10" when it comes to a QB. You habe tall lineman blocking for you and you also have tall pass rushers running at you with their arms up. Being really short is going to make it extremely difficult on him and he will have a hard time seeing down the field and will probably have a ton of batted down passes.

Hell, you saw it against Alabama.

IMO he’ll have some success moving around and getting outside the pocket. But teams will decide not to overpersue and make him throw from the pocket and he’ll struggle.

You know better than that. Teams are chalk full of flaming ****ing idiots. One of those flaming ducking idiots will convince other flaming ****ing idiots to take him in the first round.

No the NFL is very different than college and high school. His height is a huge issue in the NFL.

A lot of mocks have him going in the first round - some of them very early. I highly doubt he made this decision without a good amount of research and some assurance that he wouldn't fall too far.

They’re dumbasses if they take him in the first round.
