You do realize even if we hadn't cut Hunt he wouldn't play until well into 2019, right?

Used to be. Not recently. Not out of the question he could do pretty well with a fresh start, but RBs typically don't drop off significantly and then suddenly get it back.

I guess he had over 1000 yards rushing last year

Red Dawg 12-02-2018 06:53 PM

I have no problen with this. He can get the tough yards better than anyone we have.

-King- 12-02-2018 06:54 PM

He was decent with the broncos and even had 1 game for 100+ yards for the Panthers this year so good signing.

Well, we're expecting Eric Berry to be a God for us when he plays after not playing in 2 years, so I don't see why we can't have reasonable expectations for Anderson.

Basileus777 12-02-2018 06:57 PM

Chiefs have an extra roster spot, why not.

penchief 12-02-2018 06:59 PM

He hits the hole quick, runs hard, and doesn't go down easy. He's not Hunt but he would give us a tiny bit of what Kareem did.

Berry is an All-Pro that beat cancer and has been in the same system for 5 years. He's shown the ability to return and play at a high level. CJ is a giant question mark. Really not the same comparison at all.

Titty Meat 12-02-2018 07:01 PM

If Dorsey were here he would actually find someone good

ping2000 12-02-2018 07:01 PM

He salutes when he scores touchdowns.

Coach 12-02-2018 07:02 PM

I'd prefer they find an defender (that isn't E.B.) that can actually contribute.

174 yards on the ground today.

No one is stopping this offense.

But sure, bring in CJ.

Personally, I'd like to see them give D. Williams some more carries. He was pretty good the opportunities he got but can't speak to his blocking/catching skills.

mcaj22 12-02-2018 07:03 PM

The Panthers cut this guy so they could give his snaps to a WR at RB lol

At the zoo, you don't pet the lions. On CP, you don't indulge the Berry non-believers. Time will tell who is right and wrong and that time is nearly upon us.

As for CJ Anderson, I thought West was a better fit given he had played for the Chiefs, but I always thought Anderson was a tough adversary who seemed to run hard. I prefer Anderson talent-wise.

Because the Panthers have a stud 3 down RB.

I don't mind this. He was a passable starting running back in Denver and possibly their best offensive player, which is why Elway got rid of him.

He was good last year for the broncos before the shut him down to avoid paying his incentives. Would love to see him play with Mahomes and see if he has anything left in the tank.

pugsnotdrugs19 12-02-2018 07:11 PM

Anderson is a tough player who played an integral role in a team winning the Super Bowl just a few years back, and ran pretty well behind some terrible Denver offensive lines.

You add him and make it a three man committee with Ware and Williams, and you can make it work. None of them are Hunt obviously but plenty of teams have had great success with committee back fields lately.

Jc would be awesome especially if he fumbled in a critical situation.

ThaVirus 12-02-2018 07:13 PM

Not sure about Anderson. He seems like another Ware clone.

Think I'd rather kick the tires on Jamaal Charles lol

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 12-02-2018 07:13 PM

Depth signing and the new gameplan will be running back by committee.
