I didn't really care for the Harry Potter books all that much.

Rainbarrel 04-02-2024 07:31 AM

Buckeye RB from Houston. More texas

louie aguiar 04-02-2024 07:32 AM

this would be a good move if he can stay healthy

siberian khatru 04-02-2024 07:32 AM

What kind of car does he drive?

Mulliganman 04-02-2024 07:32 AM

He ought to come cheap. Would surely be better than Clyde...

Jerick McKinnon II

In58men 04-02-2024 07:38 AM

Incentive based contract incoming!!!!

Hoover 04-02-2024 07:38 AM

All in on this if his medical check out.

nychief 04-02-2024 07:38 AM

I assume he's using the handicapped parking.

chiefzilla1501 04-02-2024 07:41 AM

It's actually a real good move for dobbins. Rather than find the spot to make the most money now, go to KC in a get right spot. KC has the luxury of holding these guys on the bench for a long time so they can be available during a stretch run. I think a lot about how much better of a runner Clyde was last year after his knee healed. And if a guy like ekeler is making a big mistake playing for a team that will need to use him right away.

Archie Bunker 04-02-2024 07:43 AM

I’m all in on this one.

Chiefs must need a guy to add to injured reserve.

Wisconsin_Chief 04-02-2024 08:08 AM

Hell yes.

Dude averages 6 freaking yards per carry when healthy. Worth a look.

When he's healthy, he's been VERY good. The problem is, outside of his rookie season ('20), he's been injured every year - torn ACL in '21, another knee injury in '22 and a torn Achilles in '23. That's a lot of shit in 3 years. Hopefully, he can find some good fortune with his health if/when he comes to KC

BWillie 04-02-2024 08:20 AM

Would be an unbelievable signing

RunKC 04-02-2024 08:32 AM

Can’t be overstated enough that one of the main reasons why the offense struggled outside of the obvious WR issue was RB2. McKinnon was a brokedick and Clyde just sucks.

If the guy is heathy then obviously it’s a great signing. Healthy Dobbins would be a perfect RB2.

Worried about his recovery though. Achilles is a bitch of an injury to recover from

O.city 04-02-2024 08:43 AM

I called this one.

Credit to me.

pugsnotdrugs19 04-02-2024 08:45 AM

Bill of health isn't good but McKinnon's wasn't either. I'm all for it. Good speed.

kysirsoze 04-02-2024 08:45 AM

If he can stay healthy, this has the potential to be one of those signings that has people screaming, "How did he end up on the Chiefs!?" The Ravens are Chargers level with injuries. Maybe the change of scenery will be the difference.

Chief Northman 04-02-2024 08:48 AM

Was pounding the table for him his draft year. Great combination of toughness, speed, agility and vision. Just a terrible rash of injuries. I’m not sure what degree of ability you get with Dobbins now. Incentive-laden deal would be the only plausible situation here.

For Dobbins’ sake I hope he can come back and play at a high level.

chiefzilla1501 04-02-2024 08:51 AM

Although dobbins health may be concerning where he is most elite is his vision. And bad knees don't impair vision.

O.city 04-02-2024 08:52 AM

It's probably a million dollars or two for a year on an incentive laden deal.

Whats the downside?

dannybcaitlyn 04-02-2024 08:53 AM

Ah, yes, he can SEE the defender who he can't get away from anymore.

smithandrew051 04-02-2024 09:03 AM

This would make a ton of sense for both sides

BWillie 04-02-2024 09:07 AM

Not going to be a workhorse in our offense. He can stay fresh.

pugsnotdrugs19 04-02-2024 09:07 AM

I'd sign him with the thought being you are 1b to Pacheco, but definitely gotta insulate yourself with another guy you like as an RB2. Draft would be nice.

kcbubb 04-02-2024 09:07 AM

Even with all the injuries, he’s gotta be the best FA RB available? Who else is left? I’d love this signing.

I think the following are available…

Cam Akers
Kenyan Drake
Dwayne Washington
Dalvin Cook
Kareem Hunt
Zeke Elliott
Boston Scott
Rashad Penny

I’d prefer JK Dobbins because of his age. He’s only 25. Maybe he can bounce back?

We have a solid interior blocking OL. At worst he's lost a step and can knock out some consistent small gainers to give Pacheco a rest. More than likely he's still plenty athletic and we get a real good player who just needs to be on a smaller pitch count

New World Order 04-02-2024 09:27 AM

Ceh could've been decently effective if he had vision but he just doesn't. He was actually not bad last year when he decided to give zero shits and just get stronger and plow into the line even if nothing is there.

Ceh has better vision than Pacheco but hes not talented. Tricked by the LSU machine

Not even holding my breath on this one. The only comment is why even waste time on a RB coming off an Achilles.

Clyde was a really good RB2 last year. Never lived up to his round 1 selection, however, would love to have back on a cheap deal more than his broke dick.

SHOWTIME 04-02-2024 09:39 AM

Hard pass due to the achilles. Players rarely come back from that kind of injury and perform well, especially if their position requires a lot of cutting and change of direction.

Clyde is slow as hell, gets tackled on first contact most of the time and cannot block to save his life.

I’d take Dobbins over Clyde for his 3rd down blocking ability alone

ThyKingdomCome15 04-02-2024 10:04 AM

Of all those RB's this is the one I wanted in that draft but it was close. Clyde 40 is what I didn't like about him.

FloridaMan88 04-02-2024 10:06 AM

It would be nice to get some of these needs filled before the draft.

Adding at least one veteran RB for RB depth is one of those needs.

The Chiefs' medical staff (even though they've been declared as stupid meanie jerks who make people play injured according to the NFLPA) seems to do an amazing job keeping everyone healthy. Year after year it seems like our injury situation is far better than most of the league.

Do you honestly think Veach is finished addressing the RB position this offseason because he signed CEH for a bag of kicking tees? CEH is nothing but a cheap, BREAK GLASS IN CASE OF EMERGENCY depth signing who already knows the system in case Pacheco and Dobbins (or draft pick, or different F/A pickup) get hurt.
