RINGLEADER 01-21-2024 09:20 PM

The Ravens game is going to look a lot like the Bills game - with the exception that they can shut down the run and rush the passer a lot better than Buffalo. If our O-Line can hold up then we'll beat the Ravens.

The Thuney injury is really unfortunate based on who we're going to play.

Adapt. Improvise. Overcome.

For sure. The only thing is the Ravens have more weapons and a much better defense. Lamar doesn't need to be special like Allen does to win.

His upcoming MVP is basically a team award.

Same mentality as the Bills game. Toss up. Anything could happen.

If we lose, hey, it wasn't a great year anyway and I feel like we outperformed ourselves. But we still have a great chance. If there's any team that matches up well against Baltimore, I think it's us.

I am in Maryland also. I’ve seen the Chiefs play on the road at Baltimore, at Washington and at Vegas + a few home games. Ravens fans are a bit like Eagles fans - lots of drunk low-class idiots. They will definitely scream threatening shit to you non-stop. Mind your business and you’ll probably be ok.

I was considering going up, but the lowest ticket is $600 and I’m not a fan of freezing my ass off or getting yelled at by drunk douchebags, so I’ll probably stick to the man-cave and enjoy it more anyway.

Interested to read the takes around here. It is a concern because there are a lot of ways the next QB is like the last QB.

But we are doing so many things well.

Sneed on Flowers. Andrews coming back is a bit concerning.

They should be our toughest test yet.

Their offense is capable of destruction and the defense is low key top 3.

Yep definitely our toughest game by far. Ravens are a legit team and have blown out pretty much all the good teams in the NFL this year.

Kman34 01-21-2024 09:42 PM

I don't know how many times Mahomes and Reid has put clown suits on so called elite defenses..

Gary Cooper 01-21-2024 09:43 PM

Glad we're going first next week. It alternates every year but I prefer the early game to waiting until 5:30 to play.

BWillie 01-21-2024 09:45 PM

We are ****ing destroying them

smithandrew051 01-21-2024 09:45 PM

I’m really calm.

No matter what happens against Baltimore, we won the Division and made a 6th AFCCG.

Given some of the ups and downs of the season, this is a great year. Plenty of fan bases dream of this type of year.

The Ravens won’t be a pushover by any stretch. They are legit good at all three phases, but they are not unbeatable. The great thing about everyone doubting KC is that they get to be the hunter vs the hunted. It keeps a chip on their shoulder as they aren’t getting the respect they deserve for being the defending champs.

100% of the pressure is on Lamar. He has to win this game or he won’t shed the criticisms for at least another year.

For whatever reason, I really think he’s due for a dud game. They’ve really been rolling and it’s really hard to keep that going forever.

Spags has confused and frustrated Lamar with worse defenses than this.

RunKC 01-21-2024 09:54 PM

This will be a harder game than the Super Bowl if we make it. Defense is gonna have to play really well for us to win it

wachashi 01-21-2024 09:55 PM

Josh Allen is a better QB than Lamar, so that helps. Ravens defense is no joke though.

It’s stunning and also amazing that the defending champs are playing with house money in the playoffs. All the pressure is on everyone else and as such KC can play loose.

chiefzilla1501 01-21-2024 09:56 PM

I still stand by this… I don’t like Lamar when he’s behind. I hate his body language. I hate how he he plays when he has to rely on the pass. We gotta get ahead and fast. I’m not convinced Lamar has the juice to catch up to us

For sure. They were playing against banged up defenses but still took care of business. Got a nice rhythm. Moved the ball. We hardly saw Townsend these last two games. That will help against a Baltimore defense that's been confusing and punishing offenses all year. I also feel it will be the toughest opponent the Chiefs have faced during this run, except maybe the Eagles last season.

If the Chiefs lose, it doesn’t change much. Mahomes has been to six straight AFCCGs still. 2 rings. 2 MVPs. All good. An incredible run even with a couple “down years” mixed in.

If the Ravens lose, what more does Lamar need to win? He’s got the defense. He’s got the receivers. He’s got the 1 seed. He’s at home. He’s playing a “vulnerable” Chiefs team. Absolute must win for his legacy.

By no stretch would he be the first great regular season QB to routinely come up short in the postseason.

I see very little pressure on the Chiefs right now.

Even though the Bills had been relying on the run a lot lately, I don’t think Spags was ever going to dare Allen to beat us with his arm.

I think you take that chance with Lamar and these DBs.
