Talk about, report, and complain about weather here. It does not matter where you live. Talk about what you got. Snow, wind, hail, storms, virga, meatballs. Give information about what city is close to you. Pics are great too.

This map can be used by anyone and moved to your area. It is customizable for you and gives a lot of information.

I really like the windy app, so glad you shared it. Weather is meh at the moment.

Ready for spring and summer...I hate winter..

Frazod 01-31-2021 07:15 PM

We got about a foot start last night, but since it hit on Saturday going into Sunday the impact wasn't that bad. The worst was dealt with by the time I had to go anywhere today.

The best part of living in a townhome is somebody else shovels the ****ing snow.

displacedinMN 01-31-2021 07:15 PM

The windy app is great. Although their radar does not show fine snow like the NWS does.

I have my new (donated) station running well at school and the website is better than before. Everything at my old school is pretty much bricked with no one knowing what the hell to do and not there. Put on a disclaimer that if anyone had issues-email another teacher. Not a fan of hers.

Someone needs to talk to me about highway 1 in cali. That shit looks crazy.

Got about 6 here in Iowa. Been a great winter here and very atypical. It snows, warms up and melts the streets. No sub Arctic temps just nice 30-35 degree days.

Parts of Cal has had A LOT of rain and snow in places. Mammoth was expecting 116 inches of snow. good and bad. Mudslides now. Snow runoff later.

I had to read a CNN article.:doh!:

Why Not? 01-31-2021 08:27 PM

Winter here has been super mild. Almost as if the weather wanted to ease me back into real winters vs shocking the shit out of me after a decade plus of AZ winters. But honestly, I love winter days. The grayer and snowier, the better. So it's kinda been a bit of a subdued deal so far. February yet to come, we'll see.

Sorry. I saw the video on weather.com app but there wasn't a real good link from there. Cnn was the first story I found.

Supposed to be a low of 7 on Saturday and a high of 14 on super bowl Sunday in my town. Not looking forward to that.

Wow I didn’t realize there was that big of a difference between Miami and Key West. Leaving 10” of snow to go to Key West on Wednesday. Only supposed to be 64 first day but slowly warm up by weekend. Was in Orlando over Christmas and it was 50 the day we got there.

I planted a peach tree and pruned my pomegranate tree today.

I have a Barbados cherry tree and one night last week with all the wind and rain my protective structure got blown off. The temp in the yard got to 37 (maybe lower) and it froze the shit out of it. Looks pretty rough and not sure it will make it. The overnight lows here this winter have been dipping into the 30's on a consistent basis (weeks on end), which is not always the case. I've had to cover plants more nights this winter than ever.

It was sunny and 74 here today. Tomorrow it'll be a brisk 54. I'll have to break out the sweat pants and socks to try and stay warm. Please pray for me.

The city close to me is hosting the Superbowl where my favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, are on a mission to run it back.

Yeah Key West always stays warmer during the South Florida cold fronts because they are about 150 miles south of Miami and are surrounded by the ocean.

The inland suburbs in Miami/Broward really get the brunt of the the cold fronts... with overnight temperatures in the 40’s and 30’s and wind chills even lower.

InChiefsHeaven 01-31-2021 09:39 PM

We got 11 inches last Monday. Took the day off and cleared the driveway 4 times.

Its cold and windy today. Supposed to get more snow Thursday I think. Might be a lot.

Could faintly hear him get stuck again a block or 2 away.

8-9 inches but it's so cold, it's all powder. Blowing around like crazy. Roads drift shut in a couple hours, even after the maintainer goes through.

I had a path cut and told them "stay to the left". Of course, when I got down the to assess the situation, they were 4 feet too far to the right. :cuss:

We're having a ridiculously mild winter in Denver. It got up into the fifties this weekend and we've only had a couple of cold spells all winter. Even those weren't overly cold, down into the teens.

ROFL I can feel the hate through the computer screen.

Hilariously, dad told me the coldest he's ever been ever was in Iowa. Him and some other guys did a Deere tour in I wanna say the late 70s or early 80s. If it was a Gold Key thing it was like 82. He said the high for the couple days he was there was like 0 and -20s as the low. He said there was a damn snow drift in his hotel room one morning. ROFL Just brutal cold everywhere. Said the only place he was warm was the foundry. God I laugh every time he brings it up. He damn near shivers every time.

Dad hates the cold as much as anyone I've ever met.

****ing Iowa man.

htismaqe 02-01-2021 11:07 PM

I absolutely hate it here. If it weren't for family circumstances, we'd be much further south by now.

Damn obligations interfering with me enjoying warmer weather year round...

Rain Man 02-02-2021 12:38 AM

What's the coldest that a summer can be before it's too cold?

If the average high in the summer was 60, would that be no good? 65? 68? 70? Note that we're talking about the daily high.

tell ya what man, after going thru a 3 year drought that finishes off with one of the largest bush fires in recorded history, it's done nothing but ****ing rain, man!

right now it should be 90-95 F.

we are averaging a high of 68 F w/****ing rain. There is morning dew on our cars (even when not raining, man) at what is supposed to be the hottest time of the year.

Still snowing like crazy here in NE Iowa.
Forget about even trying to keep up with shoveling or plowing because the wind is at 30mph. Not looking forward to going home from work because that's when the physical work begins. Plow, Shovel and get all my heating wood to my elevated house on the lake/river.

Soooo ready for sand between my toes.

Got off work yesterday at 5pm. Took me 40 minutes to get home.
Start shoveling and plowing. Finish all the snow removal and making paths to the wood shed. Bring up loads of wood. It is now 740 PM.
The fire is near death. Resurrect the fire, do dishes.
Meanwhile, I hear my wife on the phone, who works from home, tell her client "I love winter".
I am like, I bet you do.
