any interest you, Mecca?

In58men 05-07-2019 03:13 PM

Xavier Williams

Dirty Dan.

Saved you a click.

Kiimo 05-07-2019 03:16 PM

Kyle Rudolph does

Pitt Gorilla 05-07-2019 03:18 PM

Williams will be here. He's from Grandview. Hometown discount.

Buehler445 05-07-2019 03:22 PM

I'm hoping Williams sticks.

I'm torn on Sorensen.

When Sorensen's playing time is limited he's good. It's when we have to constantly rely on him that it becomes a problem, IMO. So; also torn.

Dude was this close to being a Chiefs legend in the Pats game.

He made two HUGE plays that never officially happened.

NIUhuskies 05-07-2019 03:29 PM

Andy loves his BYU guys....Dirty Dan isn't going anywhere. Hope he takes a pay cut though

OKchiefs 05-07-2019 03:32 PM

Rationale doesn't make sense. You need at least 4 bodies at DT, we have them. No need to cut anyone there.

As of right now he doesn't need to take a pay cut.

RustShack 05-07-2019 03:41 PM

I could see Williams either way. I’d lean towards we keep 4 DT’s with him being the 4th... but we also have a lot of guys who can put their hands in the dirt and it wouldn’t shock me if some of those DE’s see some interior DL snaps to get pressure.

RealSNR 05-07-2019 03:44 PM

Xavier Williams is so cheap that you may as well keep him as the reliable backup option in the rotation. Besides, I'd rather have him than Justin Hamilton.

Sorensen... eh, whatever. I think we just have to put him on that list of guys we wish would get cut but never will. He's here to stay.

No, I don't think there will be any surprising cuts made until training camp starts.

sedated 05-07-2019 03:45 PM

Williams doesn't make much sense. Saunders isn't a NT. D-linemen have to rotate. And we have plenty of cap room.

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-07-2019 03:52 PM

If the Chiefs want to zig while others zag, making a run for Kyle Rudolph could be interesting. A lot of teams starting using two TE sets later in the season to great success, especially the Patriots. It would give them another big body in the red zone, a reliable receiver in 3rd and short-medium, and it would force teams to adopt a heavier personnel grouping if they didn't want huge running lanes.

I think Spags will get a lot more out of him

Reid is Mormon, so is Sorenson. He isn't going anywhere.

RunKC 05-07-2019 03:54 PM

Trade a 5th or 6th for Rudolph. You can easily trade back 5 spots in the draft and recoup that pick.

Plenty of cap space and the guy would be great with Kelce.

Is he that much better than what they could develop one of these young guys in to potentially?

I mean, **** we had Demetrius Harris out there last year.

Kiimo 05-07-2019 04:11 PM

Rudolph's grade in both receiving and run blocking has been steadily declining for years, now that I looked it up.

Bump 05-07-2019 04:19 PM

I'll take Agholor or Kyle Rudolph if they get cut.

RustShack 05-07-2019 04:26 PM

TE2 isn’t a huge need. Hell bring in bodies and keep the one who’s the best receiver and another who’s the best blocker of the bunch. Mahomes is going to be tossing the ball all over to all these weapons(assuming Hill plays, even if suspended part of the season). TE2 will be open.. just catch it. We don’t need to bring in names, great QB’s give WR’s and TE’s big names.

Well said -totally agree

Chargem 05-08-2019 11:46 AM

I'd take a year of Rudolph. 2 RB 2 TE sets with Thompson could be a lot of fun for Reid to draw up.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 05-08-2019 12:03 PM

Lovett will be the #2 TE. You all are sleeping on him. They compared him to Trey Burton

Hoover 05-08-2019 12:05 PM

I wouldn't trade for Rudolph with that contract. If he's cut then yeah, bring him in, but why trade picks for a guy that's going to cost you 7m?

chiefzilla1501 05-08-2019 01:05 PM

With our safety depth, I don't know how you cut Sorenson unless he absolutely doesn't fit. Unless people think we will find a better safety for $2.6m. Doubtful.

I'd love to believe you.

O.city 05-08-2019 09:00 PM

I don’t know if they’ll cut him but I might call the buccaneers about Cameron Brate

He makes 7 mil and would be nice with Kelce

Buehler445 05-08-2019 09:06 PM

I wouldn't hate a run at Rudolph.

Maybe I'm mis-remembering him, but I don't know why the Queens didn't try to sign him.
