Are there Chiefs from Germany or other countries here? I am from Germany and I never met another Chief.

We definitely have some users in the UK and Australia at least. Check out Arrowheads Abroad if you haven't heard of them.

I was born in Heidelberg. My mom is German and my dad was in the Army so we moved a lot. I started watching the Chiefs in the late 70's when dad was stationed at Fort Riley.

Interesting, my brother was born in Heidelberg for the same reason. We took a trip back there last year to see the place. How old are you? Curious if your parents might have overlapped with mine.

I have four good German buds (all in the Bundeswehr) who are die-hard Chief fans... currently in Hamburg, Munster, Bonn, and 1 deployed.

In the early nineties I saw a picture of Montana in a German Sport Magazine. My favorite soccer team also plays in white and red. The love was born. Since some years german TV broadcasts NFL Football. They support Pats, seahawks, packers, steelers. With the gamepass I can follow also the Prime Time Games and the other games. I think Mahomes will change everything. His dynasty will große up the Chiefs fanbase World Wide.

I have searched for a German Fan Club but three is none. Even the Titans have a German Fan Club. :rolleyes:

I was a huge soccer fan until I attended a Chiefs game then was intrigued by the strategy of how NFL games are built around

My Grandmother was from the Isle of Wight. My Grandfather was with the US Army, 332nd Engineers during the war, and they met at a dance. My Grandmother worked for Supermarine in some capacity.

To add, Brit Chief is a vocal KC Chiefs supporter in the UK. His youtube channel is entertaining. :)

Where do you comes from in middle east?

I'm german and have been a Chiefs Fan since 2004. But I have never met another Chiefs Fan in Germany. I have been Reading this Forum for years now, finally managed to sign up.

I used to live in Schorndorf, just east of Stuttgart. Birthplace of Gottlieb Daimler.

I flew into Munich a half dozen times between 2000 and 2001 doing business in Roding. Have you ever been to Roding?

I minored in German, still have yet to go there though. :(

But I'm glad to see my Bundesliga team, Gladbach, is doing pretty well.

Bavarian beer got nothing on the Schwabenland though.

This is my absolute favorite. I only got a few bottles back with me, I freaking miss it a lot.

Never been there but my Wife is from Regensburg which is Not too far away.

Isn't that where that huge old Cathedral is and a very old bridge? We went there, it was amazing. I think they were both over a thousand years old or something like that.

Not too far from Roding we had dinner and beer on the Rhine River, by far the best beer I have ever tasted in my life.

My host ate carp though, I couldn't even look, but there was plenty of interesting stuff to look at. :D

Rode on a ski lift once with a German guy and I asked him if he liked the Scorpions.

He got a big smile and said he was neighbors with the Rudolf Schenker. They went to school together and were still friends. At one point, helped Rudolf's little band that used to drive his Mom crazy from all the racket, set up equipment for the first few gigs.

I asked if he thought they would end up one of the biggest rock bands in the world and he said "no". But Rudolf never had any doubts.

Small world. A German guy skiing met a kid, that watched his neighbor's band from the 5th row- 25 years later after he carried their equipment to a gig with 5 people.

:rockon: The Scorpions are the greatest German Export ever. But this is only my opinion.

I have seen them every time they have come to KC. The first time- Bon Jovi was opening for them on his first tour out- 1984, I think. 5th row on the floor and they rocked.

I think Klaus has one of the best voices in rock- ever. Mathias is so underrated as a guitarist- his sound is amazing and unique.

I wonder if the Scorpions are Chief's fans? :hmmm: They said they like Kansas City because we really know how to party!! I wish they would come to sing our National Anthem before the game!!

I'm driving from Innsbruck to Garmisch to Ehrwald to Munich next week. :)

Yep. They are one of the ones I grew up with. My big 5 of proto-metal are Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and UFO (featuring Michael Schenker). I'm a big fan of the Uli Jon Roth years.

Dude, if you don't mind going 30 minutes or so out of your way, you're only a few kM from Schwangau, to the northwest of Garmisch.

It's the home of Neu Schwanstein (the most famous castle on earth probably, and the inspiration for Disney's Magic Kingdom) but to me, Hohenschwangau is the more interesting of the two castles there.

IIRC, you have to reserve a spot in a guided tour so you might have to call ahead though.

I know the castles are there. But this trip is less sight seeing and more "four people getting hammered from Rome to Munich".

I'll be in Rome and Florence and I have a degree in Art History focused on Italian Renaissance and I can't get my party to go to any cathedrals other than St Peter's. We won't be going on any tours, unless they're bar tours.

I'll have to reserve my sight seeing for another trip. I'm staying in Trento as well and that place looks amazing along with Bolzano.

If all you want to do is drink beer, just pull over. Granted I lived in Germany about the time the Chiefs were in their last AFCCG but there were like 1400 breweries at the time. Every little town not only has its own beer but it's subtly different from the beer hall in the next town over.

BTW, the same is generally true of sausage (würst) as well. Every town has a little different twist on it. Pork, beef, spices, boiled, fried, yep.

I went to Germany for the first time a few years ago. Regensberg, Nuremberg, down the Danube to Vienna and then eventually Budapest.

My favorite place was Passau. Awesome college town. Two rivers meet, one is a different color from the glacier.

On the tour in Passau they said that Americans can attend college there for super cheap.

Then again the city has a penchant for flooding BAD.


Also my girlfriend and I at the Gottweig abbey. Beautiful place that is still functional. Someone when I was there barfed on the lawn. People can't hold their apricot liquor I suppose.

3.5 years in Fulda / Bad Hersfeld, but numerous trips over to Graf, Hohenfels, Munchen, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, etc.
