**** Official Royals vs Indians GDT - 8/27 ****
A place where we can make up narratives about "trying" while prematurely announcing the outcome of a game or season from the comfort of our couch with an alcoholic beverage in hand.
|
Game over, no effort.
|
Season's over
|
2-0 seems like 10-0 with this offense right now.
|
No thanks
|
15-0
|
 Whoo boy.
|
**** it.. the Indians are better than the Royals. From the Manager down.
|
Inmen's deck thinks this team is toast.
|
Why is it that we tend to be hitting teams that are "hot" on such a regular basis since the break? Perhaps it's not that they're as red hot as their series wins might suggest, perhaps more of a relative temperature difference. But hey, we took the series against the Rockies...
The Royals are a hard team to watch since the break. They just seem to have no heart. Perhaps they're beat up and it's affecting their ability to play, but either way it's hard to watch, especially the pitching. |
Quote:
The simple explanation is they are not all that good. They pitching is blah and certainly no where near effective as it was a few years ago. They get almost nothing offensively from the DH and the LF hitters most nights. |
Oh well. Atleast we got a ring. Indians haven't won one in 70 years
Just sayin' |
Quote:
And yes, it's both pitching and hitting. But look at Skoglund, playing in the bigs and leaving almost everything up. As for the batting, that's all the more ridiculous. And yes, this team is made up of guys who are not very good right now. And they are emotionally fragile evidently. |
Wow...
Oh, and another "hot team" comment/excuse... |
LOL.... What else can you do but laugh.

Wth was skoglund pitching?
Soria and Kennedy are thieves Atleast Gordon plays defense and had memorable moments (WS Homer) |
Well, that's all the more funny...
|
It will take the Royals 2 ****ing weeks to score 12 runs.
|
Quote:
Problem was our pitching allowed 9 runs per game Kennedy needs to be cut to send a message |
Got them right where we want them. A touchdown and field goal and we're right back in this thing.

Royals pitching has some room to improve..
|
Over/Under on 3-up/3-down?

One thing this season has done is made it very clear who all the dumbasses around here are. |

And Alex whiffs, and walks away with his patented "oh well, I'm ****ing rich" look on his face. |

Hey the Royals held them scoreless.

Hos smiling again. He's a gamer...
|
****, at this point they just need to put Ventura out there to eat some innings up. Save the bullpen for tomorrow.

August is looking like April. Yuck. |
Cleveland thumped Omaha pitching today.
|
Will the Totals burn their softball unis after this one?
|
But Yost says Cleveland might lose for a week straight and we might win for a week straight and it will all be OK.
|
Not Totals but Totals.:)
|
We're down to six out, that's 2 runs per out (to tie it up).. We can do this. Go team.
|
all we need is a a blook and a blast blast blast blast blast blast blast blast blast blast blast blast blast
|
Will they send Esky? Drama!
|
Ah, Gordon is up....
|
"Gave up some runs...." Only our Hud can put positive spin on a situation like this.
|
Have we ever been shut out in a series?
This might be a new low |
Guess this wasn't the day to wear my "Hunt for blue October" t-shirt :doh!:
|
I'm ready to clear house after this season, starting with DM all the way down. We need coaches who can actually develop pitchers.

I don't know about you, but i'll give him another go round. |
Royals tie franchise record 32 straight scoreless
With the hapless 104 loss 2004 garbage squad |
Quote:
Move the team to St. Louis, they'll support two teams better than KC can support one, and their fans understand the last World Series doesn't mean jack shit compared to the next one. |
|
Very charitable play on the part of a Royal.
|
Three shutouts. No sprinkles... LMAO
|
The worst series we've played in years.
WOOF. |
Quote:

Dayton Moore decisions sunk this team. Deserves credit for the championship, as blame for recent failures.

Yeah, sometimes it works out and other times it doesn't... welcome to sports. This season is the latter, so fire everyone.

Ned's presser was kind of funny. I think he's a man without any answers.

He's got 3/4 of his roster who can't hit. And 3/4 of his arms who can't pitch. Can't blame that on the manager. |
Ventura getting drunk and dying ruined the pitching staff for this season. Most of the rotation problems would have been avoided this year.

If Dayton would have not made any moves at the deadline, everyone would be calling for his head. |
