Late night bullshit: start thinking about our 2nd round pick, folks.
Here was the 2013 ChiefsPlanet Mock all the way up to the Dolphins 2(b) pick (which I'm assuming we're getting for Albert):

Accepting that, who do you take? Here's the draft. The top remaining talent at this point, in my humble opinion: QB Tyler Wilson, Arkansas QB Tyler Bray, Tennessee RB Giovani Bernard, North Carolina WR Aaron Dobson, Marshall WR Da'Rick Rogers, Tennessee Tech OT Kyle Long, Oregon OT Menelik Watson, Florida State OT Terron Armstead, Arkansas-Pine Bluff OG Justin Pugh, Syracuse OG/C Barrett Jones, Alabama OLB Cornellius "Tank" Carradine, Florida State OLB Corey Lemonier, Auburn OLB/ILB Sio Moore, Connecticut ILB Kevin Minter, LSU ILB Jon Bostic, Florida S Bacarri Rambo, Georgia To me, Menelik Watson, Giovani Bernard, Cornellius Carradine, Kevin Minter, Justin Pugh, and Barratt Jones are the can't miss guys there. My preference would be Carradine or Minter. Minter is the better player, Carradine's position is far more important. Barratt Jones would also make a ton of sense. Given that we just dropped a 1.1 on Joeckel, Watson and Pugh make little sense. Plus, they're going in the 1st anyway. |
WTF is this? Take A Shit On SNR Day?
I received no memo. |
I think Jones falls into the 3rd, so I'd take him out of here.
Same with Wilson. Minter or Bostic would be my choice. Minter prefer. I think he's got Bowman upside. He's a nasty mother ****er to. |
There is no way in hell Cyprien falls that far.
|
Too pissed to give a **** at this point
|
We might not have a second round pick.
Since more than likely early second round is where qbs will be going. We use that second round pick with a later round pick and trade into the bottom of the first and draft our man Geno Smith!! |

holy shit, the draft is next week. wow..that was fast
|
Rogers would be tough to pass with his skillset though.
|
I'd like to see the WR history in the 2nd round.
I bet the bust rate is MUCH lower than QB (which is where all the true fan mouthbreathing cock chuggers want us to go). |
I'd choose Tank, Wilson, Rombo, or Bostic. Barrett has some injury problem that I want to stay away from until at least the 3rd.
|
Those available selections for the most part make me want to cry. Especially after pissing away 1-1 on a LT.
|
Carradine would also be tough to part over, although I'm not sure if he could stand up in the 34?
D, thoughts? |
It's not necessarily our biggest need area, but the more I read about Minter the more I like him. I know I should go quarterback, but I'll go Minter and see if we can win a Super Bowl off a terrifying linebacker corps like the Giants did in 1986.
|
If not Geno, then Wilson....no question.
|
This guy is not going in the 1st.
16 St. Louis - Rams Fan - Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee If he's there in the 2nd and we have #42, think about trading up. |
Quote:
Carradine's problem is health. He's recovering from an ACL tear in January. He'll almost certainly start out the season PUP. And while the NFL has a pretty good track record of getting ACL victims back to 100%, you can't ever be sure that's what you'll get. |
Why can't we have Sam Montgomery?
|
Take the Center/True Fan
|
I'd rather **** RunKC's entire mongoloid family than draft Wilson or Jones.

I'd still go Minter and try and get Lemonier later. |
I'd like Wilson or Bray.

So heres a scenario where it is risky as **** but could label Dorsey as a genius.
We might not have a second round pick. Since more than likely early second round is where qbs will be going. Several personnel and analysts say if Geno gets past Jax he will go in the second round. We use that second round pick with a later round pick and trade into the bottom of the first and draft our man Geno Smith!! |

If you believe in him, he's a very interesting option for the hybrid defense we'll be running. |

I find the lack of Rambo faith disturbing.

I think he goes deeper in the draft. 4th or 5th round. Low 3rd at the best. |

I'm starting to think it should replace GAZ. |

So, Direck is taking 4 players with our one 2nd rounder :hmmm: Last I checked teams don't walk to the podium and go "I'll be happy with this guy, this guy, this guy, or this guy." You pick one and own it.

So Brandon Albert is worth Kyle Long.

The ILB hole is just monstrous right now, hard to pass on MInter.

Albert's heading down south to the land of Super Bowls and franchise QBs. Something Kansas City knows dick about. Incidentally I can't remember the Dolphins EVER spending a top 10 pick on a LT, other than that jackass Parcells. |

The only thing Miami is good for is fat ****ing contracts. There's not a signing this offseason they didn't overpay for. |
Here is something to think about. The top 3 lineman Joeckel, Fisher, and Johnson.
Johnson had Jones as his qb. His qb made him look good at times. Joeckel had Nanziel as his qb. Heisman trophy winner. He made Joeckel look better than he is. Fisher had who as his qb thata right. I have no ****ing clue. Fisher had to earn it himself and now hes being talked about going #1. Another reason why Fisher should be the OT and not Joeckel. |

It says alot about Jake Long that they didn't wanna spend what they did on him and are now trading a pick plus paying Albert.

How soon we forget the divergent path these franchises embarked upon when the Dolphins slayed the Chiefs in the 1971 playoffs. It was the a true omen of the coming decades. Miami has the Dolphins The Greatest Football Team We take the ball from goal to goal Like no one's ever seen We're in the air, we're on the ground We're always in control And when you say Miami You're talking Super Bowl |

He also racked up his sacks as teams doubled up on Bjoern Werner a ton and that Florida State had perhaps the best secondary in college football. A lot of those sacks were coverage sacks which isn't going to happen as much at the next level. I don't think he gives you anything that you don't already have in Allen Bailey and probably doesn't have the functional strength that Bailey does. A bit of a waste of a pick considering the personnel and system the Chiefs have. |
Before the Bills raped us...there was Miami in 1991...

Too many questions regarding his health (though he did recently run a 4.75 at a workout for pro scouts with the Chiefs in attendance), his stats on a team featuring Werner and that backfield, etc. |

Tyler Wilson is the second best QB in the draft. Him.

Per KFFL
Chiefs are not committed to trading Branden Albert Kansas City Chiefs *general manager*John Dorsey *said the team is not committed to trading OT*Branden Albert *even though they have allowed his agent to talk with the*Miami Dolphins . "Branden Albert *is a good football player," Dorsey said. "We wouldn't have stuck the franchise tag on him if he wasn't. It's my job to explore all options and that's kind of what's going on." |
