William Moore wants to come back to Missouri?
Matt Miller @nfldraftscout
Sources say William Moore (#Falcons) wants to test free agency. Same people tell me he's open to a return to Missouri. #Chiefs #Rams Interesting news, though this guy is a dumbass and I doubt his sources. Take this for what you will. |

Anyone from Atlanta give him the ole eye test this year? |

He's a big, explosive athlete with pretty good instincts. Very good against the run. Not as tremendous in pass coverage. If the price was right... it's probably a good move.
|
Do we want 2 safetys that aren't great in pass coverage?

Nuff said, now lets find the rest of the right 49. |
Moore at SS would be a really nice complement to Berry.
It also would probably get Berry off of the tough TE assignments. Moore's size (6-1, 225ish) plays very nicely against TEs, and he has the athleticism to stick with the better athletes at that position. Again, not sure how much Willy Mo is looking for, but he's one of my favorite Mizzou players ever (and was considered the best athlete on teams that included Brad Smith, Jeremy Maclin, William Franklin and Sean Weatherspoon). |
he has playmaking ability but that's it
he cant cover the pass and is essentially Kendrick Lewis but can tackle |
It's a free country, he's allowed to return... I hope he knocks Eric right in the jaw as proof of his loyalty to the fans...
|
If we continue with our 3 safety sub packages, It'd be great to have Moore as that in the box guy, and have Berry and Lewis back deep. But of course, Lewis would have to sit behind Berry in our base defense. Moore is light years ahead of Lewis.
|
Would rather have Byrd and move Berry to SS
I wouldn't complain by any means if we signed Moore, he's a good player |

they also just cut their other starting safety today, so yes, that frees up stuff they can use to focus on Byrd with |
The Bills cut their SS today, Byrd is staying in Buffalo. No doubt.
But, Moore is interesting, as is Wilson, the SS the Bills cut. Actually, **** it, bring in both. |

I'd love to have Moore with the Chiefs. Go get Ziggy Hood, Weatherspoon, Justin & Aldon Smith, and Maclin while you're at it.

That hit he put on Ridley was a game changer.
Baltimore might not win without that turnover. |
He was a pro Bowler, which means absolutely nothing.
|
speaking of which, the fact that ANYONE from this team went to the pro bowl is an absolute goddamn riddle of the sphynx to me. I mean ****; how do you legitimately reward individual effort on a 2-14 team, for a TEAM sport. and look yourself in the ****ing mirror each day?

Falcons have "ramped up" negotiations with William Moore, Sam Baker http://wp.me/p14QSB-7zqW Falcons have “ramped up” negotiations with William Moore, Sam Baker Posted by Josh Alper on March 8, 2013, 10:37 AM EST New Orleans Saints v Atlanta Falcons Getty Images The Falcons opted not to use the franchise tag to secure the services of safety William Moore from the 2013 season, but that wasn’t a sign that they didn’t want Moore to remain in Atlanta. The team is still interested in holding onto Moore and D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the team has “ramped up” negotiations with the safety in recent days. Moore and every other free agent is free to start talking to other teams on Saturday, so the Falcons will have to ramp things up quickly to keep other teams from getting a chance to steal him away. Along with Dashon Goldson, Moore is high on the list of free agent safeties that teams will be looking to sign to long-term deals. It’s a good thing, then, that Moore said this week that he wanted to get a deal done with the Falcons quickly. Ledbetter also reports that the team has stepped up its efforts to re-sign left tackle Sam Baker. He’s not as highly regarded as Moore, especially not in a fairly crowded tackle market, but Baker would likely generate some interest on the open market. As long as no one bowls Baker over with a huge, immediate contract offer, that might help the Falcons land him at a price to their liking. |

Mike Garafolo @MikeGarafolo
Per @AJCFalcons, William Moore's deal averages $6m per season. Top-of-the-market safeties used to command more. Wow he could of got more |
Spotrac.com @spotrac
#Falcons sign William Moore (S) to 5 yr $30M deal. $6M/yr avg is 13th highest for safeties. http://bit.ly/X8hsjM |
I watched every game that Moore played at Missouri. We won't regret this. He's a poor man's Pollard with a better attitude.

Eric Berry pulls in an average of $12 million per year from the Chiefs. Per @AJCFalcons, ATL retained William Moore for half that ($6M/yr). |
so we paid Dunta 4-6 million and could have got Moore at the same price
farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt |
We got ****a'd.
