Early AFCCG Forecast: High of 19°
According to the far out forecast, the high next Sunday is 19° and the low is around 13°.
Personally, I think this would be great. We know that Mahomes can sling it in those conditions, he proved it last year at Denver and today to some degree. Idk about Brady and Rivers though, as they are older and their arms aren’t quite what they used to be. Not saying they couldn’t throw it, but I think it could have a negative effect on them. Thoughts? Also, this from Pete Sweeney: Quote:

If the Chiefs play well they will win, regardless of the weather.

Bring on the chargers in that weather.

Bring it.

I want cold and no precip...

I want to see Brady/Phyllis freezing in pain as they have to get picked up off of the Arrowhead turf over and over again.

I honestly think either team goes down in a ball of fire next week. Chiefs are ****ing Superbowl bound!
|
After tonight, I want the cold. Of course I won't be there sitting in it.
|
Bring it da **** on !!!

Plus it's a short week for the Chargers/Patriots heading into Arrowhead. Extra day of rest for Chiefs. |

The Patriots are used to the weather. The Chargers are not. If the Patriots win this weekend, then the weather in Arrowhead is no advantage. If the Chargers win this weekend, then they show that the weather doesn't bother them, in which case the weather in Arrowhead is no advantage.
Both the Chargers and Patriots have shown they can score to keep up with the Chiefs. Next week will be a closer and tougher game than this week's game against the dome denizens. But if the Chiefs play defense (finally) the way they did today, I think they'll be in the Super Bowl. |
Weather is a high of 28 tomorrow in Foxborough area. I don’t see the Chargers winning there.
God it will be great breaking Brady next Sunday |

I want the Patriots because I think they're an easier opponent and because there's so much poetry in planting them into the ground. Tomorrow will be the first time I've rooted for the Patriots in a decade. |

But I thought that game was supposed to be in LA and they needed to move it to Monday....

I just dropped $7000.00 to bring my wife and two sons to the game next Sunday.
Weather will not be a factor for us. |

OP how long you been a football fan for? Tom Brady is the king of cold weather games. He's like pretty near undefeated. Rivers all the way man.
|
As long as there's no snow.
I was standing in freezing water most of the day. Thank god for waterproof boots. |

I'm fully rooting for the Cheatriots tomorrow.
I've never seen Brady play in person. It will be wonderful to watch him get crushed in his final NFL game. |

**** it. I’ve only seen this team in this game twice in my lifetime. |

Stop being such a lil bitch. We beat Brady in any weather minus infinity to plus infinity. |
Chiefs are now tied for 1st as the SB betting favorite with the Saints.

If its Brady I hope someone puts a few extra PSI's in his balls.

Put the tarp back on and the fluorescent lights back under it to keep the grass growing.
Crank the heat up to 11 all week |

Verified account @jeffphowe Overheard some Chargers on the field complaining about the cold during pregame warmups. 9:35 AM - 13 Jan 2019 You see! Chargers can't handle the cold. Was I wrong? |

This is such a great feeling as a fan. I don't really care who wins today's game. The only team that can beat the Chiefs next week in arrowhead is the Chiefs. New England is better built for cold weather by experience but both teams qbs at their age are not ideal for the cold. It's a great advantage for us and I don't know how anyone can enjoy the stale dome experience over real football.
|
Personally? I love the cold.
I will say that in 95 and 97 it was that level of cold and it started to impact a lot of the crowd. During the 95 game people were being carried out of our section. Of course we weren’t going for the Super Bowl and that’s pre-Mahomes and I’m sure our hearts will be much warmer than with Bono or Grbac as QB. |

I'll take 0 degrees and dry over 30 degrees and wet. Dry is manageable. Wet and cold gets annoying over 3-4 hours. I was comfortable yesterday other than flakes and drizzle peppering my face repeatedly.

So far it certainly looks like Mr Tom Brady an Cheatriots will be coming into Arrowhead.
We owe them a BEATDOWN!!! Passing of the torch from Brady to Mahomes |

What are you amateur meteorologists seeing for the forecast this weekend today?

19 high with a low of 5 or something. So hard to know who it helps -- most thought the bad weather would help Indy. Ha ha. Generally, any type of bad weather PROBABLY helps them home team (as long as fans show up). Going on the road is hard already. Dealing with the elements makes it harder.
NE's ability to march down the field relies on perfect execution more than winning one on one matchups. Hopefully, the crowd noise and bitter cold will throw a wrench or two into the system. |

What ever weather that will cause old man Brady to crack. That’s the weather I want. Whatever keeps him from moving in the pocket, scrambling and eating up the secondary.
|
Quote:
Wow But props to you; you are a true Chiefs fan considering you’re sacrificing that much. |

Saturday night we could drop below 0. Sunday high I would guess around 10-15 degrees, but dry. |
I don't think cold is that much of a factor. Wind and precip is a bigger issue.
Now if it's like 5 degrees that would be an issue. |
Quote:
|
It's not as if either team has much experience playing in this. For all the playoff games that NE has played in, only one game will have been as cold. 2004 vs. Tennessee. This is pretty extreme stuff. Both teams are cold weather teams, but 10 degrees is lot different than 25. Weather WILL be a factor. I would be scared of the over.
|
Perfect weather for Tom Brady. He loves this stuff.
Mahomes, on the other hand, looked weak in cold weather against the Colts, and it will be significantly colder this Sunday. |
Any bets that if the Chiefs win this Sunday, the narrative will be that the only way we got to the SB was because of the weather in these two games?
