Let's talk about the LA Chargers ( Week 3)
We're on to the Chargers, and our first noon game of the season.
|
NO! Not right now.
|
Too soon, we need time to grieve and vent!
|
Start McKinnon over CEH
|
Probably another shootout, and we should expect that for every game this season with this defense
|
Well, we certainly won't be complacent. That has to help.
|
**** those bastards.
|
so much for the 17-0 talk. glad the loss is out of the way. On to the LA.
Chargers are dangerous and this defense needs to be much better. |
I can't wait to see them run it 40 times.
|
same records
playing for second place |

Too soon...

This is gonna be the easiest game for the Chiefs this season. Chargers looked like garbage against Dallas.
Their new shiny toy Justin Herbert has a fetish…it’s called throwing INTs in the red zone. Let’s take advantage of that and put this to bed. A win by less than 20 would be disappointing in my book. |
^ Didn’t the Rudders make the Ravens look like shit?
|
At least Vert Reach won’t have to wait for the SB to know what to focus on next offseason.

Chargers offense will throttle our defense. Herbert can actually make the throws that Lamar Jackson couldn’t.

Anything is better than a handoff against this D.
|
Will Reid let the dogs out of the cage?
If so, we win easily. If not, expect another nail biter. |
If they don't get some things fixed on that defense, we're going to get smoked.
|
This will be a tough one.
I'd expect more of what we've been seeing from our defense this season. The Chargers have a retooled OL that's looked prettt good thus far. Ekeler will smoke us on the ground and through the air. Keenan Allen will be open a lot. Mike Williams will probably torch us for at least one deep 50/50 ball. We have no one capable of covering a massive Jared Cook. It'll be rough. The only saving grace I can see is a possible Herbert mistake. He could definitely throw an INT or two. I expect to see some urgency from the offense. The loss last night should have clued everyone in that it's the strength of our team and we'll need to win shootouts. |
Everyone saying Dallas shit on them need to take into account the following:
Dallas has 3 MLB's we would take in a instant. They also have some decent D-Line. They are MUCH better suited to stop the run than us. We need Gay back in the worst way. |

He may get ejected for popping a pimple. Worse than spitting.

I was thinking we would lose a game to the Chargers prior to the season starting and after watching the defense so far I’m definitely still of that mindset. Herbert is good and can make most throws but we will win this one since it’s at home. It will be close though.
I’m actually shocked at the 8 point spread. I think that line is an overreaction to how the Chargers looked yesterday. They had some bad and unfortunate red zone plays that you can’t really count on. I’ll definitely be on the Chargers here. |

We don’t get blown out. |
I just got Tix, cant ****ing wait even though we just suffered a loss. Rebound games make me HORknee.
|
I praised the Chargers last week.
But this week vs the Cowboys, holy shit were they back to Chargering again. Dumb penalties, turnovers, figuring out ways to lose. They're not a team that's ready for big games and big moments. Dallas and L.A were both going off with explosive plays and both would follow it with some dumb turnovers/plays/penalties. |
Mahomes seems to be annoyed by people elevating Herbert too high.
Let's roll them. |

I'm driving down for this one, so we better win. In fact, I'm calling ahead to Patrick and Andy and let them know that we better win cuz 3 hours down and 3 hours back, 60 bucks to park and like 120 for the ticket is a lot so we better win or I'll be mad. I might write a tersely worded post on CP if we don't. We better win. We better.
That ought a do it... |

WE ARE NOT LOSING TO THE GODDAMN CHARGERS
|
I tried telling people that the Ravens weren't some layup game. People saying all week we are going to blow out a team that's competitive week in and week out on the road is pure foolish. Now I will say we are overreacting the other way and should be able to win this game by a score. Chargers aren't there yet.

Chiefs get everyone’s best game

Seriously, Parson/LVE/Misc. Currently better than hitchens. Hell, if LVE becomes a free agent we need to pick up the phone. |

Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard combined for 180 yards on the ground and another 56 yards in the air. The Bolts did not struggle just in-between the tackles but in covering the running backs in the passing game as well. - la chargers, sounds french
|
If CEH doesn't come in this game fired up with a chip on his shoulder than he has to be benched. But as long as they do better play calling and let Mahomes win the game, we'll destroy the Chargers because you know they are pissed off and that has to be scary for the Chargers.
|
Until the defense proves otherwise, I think the offensive philosophy needs to change. Pedal down all game. Don’t let up until it’s mathematically impossible to lose. Can’t trust the defense until they prove you can.
We gave up one that should’ve been a win. Attempting to control the clock late didn’t work. Run the ****ing score up until it doesn’t matter. |
If we lose this game... Maybe then I'll hit the PANIC button.

Faders fans always seem to forget that they’re called the Faders for a reason. It’s like clockwork every single year. Win a couple early games, then by mid season they fade in out.

AFC West battles are always tough; not expecting the Chargers to shoot themselves in the foot two weeks in a row.
Can't pick yet, still too emotional about the poor play of the defense. It wasn't just the poor tackling, there were receivers uncovered all over the field. Dump off passes with no red in the same zip code. This looks a lot like 2018 except teams aren't playing the Chiefs the same way on defense. Allowing teams 100% TD rate in the red zone is scary. |
I think we win. We’re going to be playing at home angry
|
The schedule seemed front loaded at first but now looks more backloaded.
We’re fully capable of rattling off 6 wins in row before the schedule picks up. After that, we get Aaron Rodgers, Raiders twice, Cowboys, Chargers, and Steelers. Even the Broncos look better than expected. The Division will be decided in the final 8 weeks when we have 5 divisional games. |

I suspect Andy will forget how good we are against the weakness of the Chargers D, and attack the strength of the defense instead, with the game in tbe balance. Hope it works out.
I can see Andy playing those old school arcade machines, where the bosses always had that flashing, color changing weak spot that sticks out like a sore thumb, and ol Andy just thought the game screen was malfunctioning and ignored it completely. I do hope that if the game happens to be close, that someone on that sideline will remind him we arent paying PM half a billion dollars to hand off to scrubs with the game on the line. This is seriously the same mother ****er that went with ALEX SMITH throwing the ball to studs like Junior Hemingway over handing the ball to Jamaal Charles. Now this asshole, with the best qb and receivers in the game, wants to handoff. You cant make this shit up. |
