Presenting the double standard in media and domestic violence

Probably just more about how nobody gives a shit about the WNBA.
|
Gasp!
|
The WNBA still exists?
|
It won't go viral by the usual suspects because they don't want to knock the WNBA.
|
Lesbians are the demographic with the highest rate of domestic violence
|
Angry vagina on vagina crime
|
KC Star Editorial Board: We're delighted to see women stepping up into positions of control in their relationship. We hope to see more of Ms. Howard asserting her feminine power.
|
My twitter sources tell me that this is actually just an extortion attempt. They cant run with the story for a few days/weeks/months but it's very legit. No doubt thos family is crazy. They might post some eye emojis in the near future though.
|
The WNBA has no relevance to 99.9% of the country. So it won’t get covered.

OP triggered by another stupid event.
Shocked. |
It almost seems like there’s a large number of lesbians in the WNBA. I’m shocked!
|
Fun fact: Lesbian couples have the highest instances (per capita) of domestic violence in the nation.
|
Looks like it's being covered pretty thoroughly relative to Tyreek considering the profile of the player. Not sure what double standard you're seeing.

The ladies also get a yearly salary that the men don't and higher percentage of tournament winnings. Then the league pays them a bonus for playing in leagues. The difference is the tournaments are on different levels. Men's dwarfs it. They also are cherry picking stats, the years posted for generating a million more dollars include two world cups and an Olympics. Men had the Olympics. This shit is laughable, if they want more money they actually need to create more revenue and sell tickets that are more than free to 9 dollars. |
Putting aside the personal/family carnage of those involved this is not a good development for Tyreek. If they suspend her for a year there will be plenty of people who conflate this with Tyreek and will yell double-standard if he doesn’t get the same punishment.

I've never struck a woman, but I'm 100% confident I could 1 punch KO all but one of my ex's. She was very tall. Easily 6-3. Head like a St. Bernard. She was harmless though. Totally sweet girl. |
If the dykes of women's soccer challenged the dykes of the WNBA to a naked jello wrestling match, I still don't think people would tune in......

Also, Hope Solo was charged with domestic violence. Was suspended. If she wasn't representing the US in the World Cup that year it would've been longer. She was pretty controversial after that point. Most women athletes don't make headlines on this issue because there aren't many women athletes with a high enough profile for anyone to give a shit.

But not more than the men. Going by percentage of revenue that they generate, the women actually make a lot more. https://youtu.be/xw8SapT5XwA |

The women's team dominates the world and the men don't. That much is true. But the competition on the men's side is much greater. So, that is hard to compare. What I don't understand is why we don't seem to put as much support into our men's team as what I kept hearing about the women's team. |
And btw, the women's team lost to a boys youth team from Texas. The women and men are not the same.

Here is a pretty balanced take. www.tampabay.com/nation-world/politifact-does-the-us-womens-soccer-team-bring-in-more-revenue-but-get-paid-less-than-the-men-20190712/%3ftemplate=amp Of course when men win they drive a hell of a lot more revenue. That's why I think equal pay is nonsense. At the same time keep in mind the best on the usmnt are getting paid outside of us soccer a shitload more than women do. They earn a lot in the pros and all kinds of crazy soccer bonuses. No woman will ever in a lifetime earn pulisic money nor should they. Women make most of their money off us soccer. The reason you probably haven't heard a peep from usmnt players is because they're getting paid just fine. The kind of bonus women are asking for is pocket change. |

What happens if the women break away from the organization and run on their own? They would make even less. This is not the corporate world, you get paid based off revenue generated. Even a shitty men's team still generates more revenue when playing because the tournaments revenue is so massive. If the women want more, they need their fans to actually spend money and travel to games and cause the cost of tickets to rise. The rest of the world will also need to do it, but that is the problem. Right now tickets are free to super cheap to go watch. Packing a free power and light will not do it. If the league ever generates a billion dollars in revenue then they will be paid a lot more. It is still in its infancy. |
Quote:
Yearly salary, benefits, they get paid by their leagues, they get bonuses. Should they get paid more? Maybe yes, but leagues are not going to go more bankrupt for it. Your only option right now is sponsors kicking in money. |
Quote:
Never knew that. |

The women can call it equal pay but it really isn't. The men under their CBA are less reliant on us soccer salary because they make far more money outside of us soccer than women do. The best in the world are paid very, very well. And if the men start winning, even though they earn a smaller % of world cup revenue they earn significantly more $s because the world cup grosses a shit ton more... When we make the actual tournament. Long story short, the women undoubtedly made us soccer more than enough money this year to justify a pay raise. Equal pay gets them what they want, but men still get paid a whole lot more. Seems alright with me. |

Media won't care anyhow. LGBT are victims no matter what they do, unlike us homophobic sexists. |
