I was a little early with this. Combine is next week.

BryanBusby 02-25-2018 11:07 PM

It starts this week, so not too bad.

Mother****erJones 02-25-2018 11:14 PM

Starts Tuesday. Andy speaks Wednesday and Veach speaks Thursday is what I’ve read.

LET'S DO THIS THING BABY

KChiefs1 02-26-2018 05:25 PM

**** Official 2018 NFL Draft Combine Thread ****

NFLN is rerunning the 2017 combine now & at midnight.

It’s on all week too. I can’t remember if Mahomes threw at the combine. I’m sure Hunt was there.

DaneMcCloud 03-01-2018 07:50 PM

Barkley and Chubb each hit 29 reps on the bench press today.

That's insane for running backs.

O.city 03-01-2018 08:01 PM

Yeah this rb class is crazy stacked

I’d almost cut west and take one

I would, for sure.

I hope Spencer Ware returns to 100% but I wouldn't risk it, especially since the Chiefs have an extra 4th rounder this year.

BryanBusby 03-01-2018 10:27 PM

Early word is Billy Price tore his pec

If he slides to our first pick, I'd at least consider it.

If Ronald Jones is sitting at 54, you have to think about it.

Eh, I think it’ll be like Sidney Jones. KC takes him in round 3

RunKC 03-02-2018 08:30 AM

Will Hernandez 5.14 40 and 37 bench reps. 348 lbs. This guy is going to be so good

RunKC 03-02-2018 08:32 AM

Braden Smith 6”6 303 lbs 35 bench reps 5.15 40

Of course there are 3-4 players who could start day 1 for us at LG but it comes in a year where we have no first round pick.

Because Chiefs

RunKC 03-02-2018 08:38 AM

Orlando Brown went from 1st rd prospect to 3rd at best.

14 bench reps and a 5.86 40 LMAO

RunKC 03-02-2018 10:06 AM

WOW

Desmond Harrison 6’6” 290 lbs just ran a 4.75

Good ****ing god. How can a 6'8 345 guy only bench 225 14 times? Is he actively trying to tank his stock?

Al Bundy 03-02-2018 10:34 AM

Quentin Nelson is a top 3 pick. That guy is going to skull **** defensive lineman for 10 years.

RunKC 03-02-2018 10:49 AM

The Chiefs should draft an OL with their later 3rd rd pick or 4th. This is a deep class

The Franchise 03-02-2018 10:50 AM

Offensive linemen running the 40 is a pointless drill.

With how many OL go downfield to block, I don't think it's completely worthless.

Raiders lost their coin flip, they’ll pick 10th instead of 9th.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland takes him at #1. They can draft a QB at #4 if they want to. They'll be one there.

Oklahoma OT Orlando Brown measured 6-foot-7 7/8 and 345 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine.

It's been a Combine to forget for Brown, the son of the late Orlando Brown Sr., who played in the NFL for the Browns and Ravens. Brown came to Indy as a potential first- or second-round pick next month, but he's done nothing but hurt his stock. He ran a molasses-slow 5.85 forty, bench-pressed 225 pounds just 14 times, and posted a dreadful 19.5-inch vertical. His 2.00-second 10-yard split was the worst in Combine history. Coaches also got after him for loafing during on-field drills. Brown's stock is in an absolute free-fall.

All of the teams in the top 4 could use him. No way he makes it to Denver at #5.

I could really see Cleveland taking him at #1 and then taking Mayfield or Darnold at #4 if either one of them are there. And they will be unless the Colts trade out of #3.

I don't think he makes it past Indy.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-02-2018 12:18 PM

Just my philosophy, but **** taking a RB in the top 5 of a draft. Unless it’s like the 2013 class, no thanks.

Even then, Le’Veon Bell was taken in the 2nd round that year...

The Franchise 03-02-2018 12:37 PM

He just ran an unofficial 4.41 40. Dude is going in the top 5 for sure.

He will, but I wouldn’t do it. There’s just too many examples of star RBs being taken in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. More than 1st rounders.

Given the injury frequency at that position too, there’s just no way I’m using that premium of a pick on RB. Take the other BPA and draft Guice, Jones, or Michel at the top of R2 if you want a back.

Someone will get a solid prospect a bit later dudes that are 6'8 with really long arms are going to struggle with a lot of reps.

He might legitimately be the best RB prospect in my lifetime. Dude blows Zeke Elliott and Leonard Fournette out of the water.

I’m fine passing on him for a defensive boss bc this RB class is stacked, but damn if Denver gets him I will be so pissed.

He’s an all-pro waiting to happen.

I keep thinking they find a way to move into the first round. How? IDK.

The Franchise 03-02-2018 02:09 PM

Auburn G Braden Smith met with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs are without a first-round pick, and they'll presumably be shopping for DL and DB help with their earlier picks, but it's no surprise that Smith intrigues them. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder is coming off an outstanding career at Auburn. He recorded 35 reps in the bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine.

How long are his arms ? Some guys with long arms can't do as many as those with short arms.

RunKC 03-02-2018 07:13 PM

The Chiefs need to draft an OL with a top 100 pick. The value is too good not to.

Jordan Akins
Mark Andrews
Durham Smythe

I really, really like Braden Smith. I just can't justify a guard in round 2 this year, and that's even if he lasts that long now.

O.city 03-02-2018 07:56 PM

Barkley's combine numbers are good but he isn't a freak of nature like Bo Jackson or Herschel Walker.

Though his 10 yard split is damn impressive for his size.

It's kind of poetic, though.

After years of bitching about the possibility of drafting interior linemen instead of QBs in the first round, we sacrificed a 1st rounder for a QB and now WANT to draft interior line in the first round.

At any rate, this Defense has been absolutely skull****ed by the runs inside over the last 2 years and they need to get some guys that can wall off the los

Now with that said, I don't dislike Mo Hurst. I just don't think that's what we need right now.

I agree I just think we need both.

Did you see how shit our DL looked when Jones went out? No interior pass rush and no disruption/penetration agains the run.

If they can fill that need in FA or something, hey cool take Mo.

I don't think he's a 1st round talent. Hurst is the most overrated DT in this class. He's a 3rd round developmental IMO, and now he might be a 6th round guy.
