Tyreek Hill injury updates.
Someone just told me Tyreek Hill could be out 6-8 weeks.
This is the same source that told me he would receive 0 games 20 minutes before the national media broke it. Take it for what it's worth. EDIT: IT WAS WORTH NOTHING <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Here is an explanation from the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chiefs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Chiefs</a> on WR Tyreek Hill, who was taken to a local hospital. <a href="https://t.co/gxcl2nqFu0">pic.twitter.com/gxcl2nqFu0</a></p>— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1170803692850819077?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 8, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Per source, no surgery for Tyreek Hill but he will miss a couple of weeks.</p>— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) <a href="https://twitter.com/ProFootballTalk/status/1170808353498574850?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 8, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Confirmed, per source, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill had a posterior SC (sternoclavicular) dislocation which was successfully reduced in the hospital. Clay what was the injury
|
If that's really the case we better hope Watkins can stay healthy until then.
|
I guess as long as he's ready for the playoffs...

I already miss the “good old days” when Crystal, Brooke and Angie were our biggest worry with Tyreek... JFC.
|
As long as its not a season ender, I can live with it

AB would look great right about now.

We didn't run for shit today. |
****.
At least it's not a season ender...but I figured it was something serious when it took them over a quarter to rule him out |
Thank God Mahomes wasn't hurt. When I saw that **** stick Moore putting on his helmet I wanted to puke lol.
|
If it is a broken collarbone - I am currently 8 weeks into mine with about another 5 to go before the doctor thinks he will be able to release me to fully for work.
Not all breaks are equal, but it gives you an idea. |
OKAY TAKE MAHOMES OUT NOW

And my body is healing just as it should, if not better. I don’t even need physical therapy. The body is going to do what the body is going to do. And hopefully this conversation is all for naught because the rumors are untrue. We’ll see. |
Is this confirmed or fake news?
|
Just glad it's not a leg injury
|
I hope it isn’t one of those years.

Good teams overcome adversity.

Better a WR than other position group. This gets Hardman, DRob and everybody else good touches and a fresh TH for the 2nd half of the season.
|
Grbac missed five weeks and the bye with a busted collarbone. Probably would come back around the bye if it was a collarbone.
|
Foles was the one reported to have a broken collar bone. Nothing n that play looked liek a collar bone injury for hill.
|
Chatter on twitter is a possible AC joint injury.

so whats worse for hill, a collar bone or an AC joint injury?

Sucks to lose him at all, but it sounds like it could be worse.
|
The offense was noticeably different with him out. This is not good and will certainly result in at least one extra loss.

Yeah, it changes everything for defenses. We'll still score a lot, but we'll really need to rely on Shady and Williams more, IMO. |

So many people wishing for it to be broken on social media.
Shit is just wrong. Thanks Crystal, Brooke. |

Goddamnit, I just had that pessimistic feel that some Chief would get injured today.
We can't have things go TOO well for KC because...well, Chiefs. |
Wow, both Hill and Foles out with broken collarbones.

Chiefs O was still going strong until Mahomes got the ankle.
Then everything went dink/dunk quick passes. |

Came in late to the Reid interview on the radio. Did he say anything?
|
Because Chiefs. We still haven't shaken that shit.
|
Reid on Mahomes: He's doing good. He's a tough kid.
|
Please don't be a broken collarbone
|
If Watkins continues to ball out like today, we can be cautious with Hill and not rush him back.
Still hoping it is just a bad shoulder bruise. |
Hill being out 6 weeks isnt the end of the world if it happens.
|
Reid on Tyreek: He's good. Not sure if it was clean play. Got him over to the hospital where he had to have that checked.
|
I was watching the play and the reply and both his arms looked way too mobile for a broke collar bone. Foles certainly looked like he had a broken collar bone but not Hill.
|
Let’s say it’s worst case scenario and the collarbone is broken. That’s not the end of the world. It’s a 6-8 week recovery.
We’d likely get him back around Thanksgiving. If anything we should be thankful this happened week 1 instead of in December |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Coach Andy Reid says Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is nursing an ankle sprain. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ChiefsKingdom?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#ChiefsKingdom</a></p>— Rob Collins (@RCFOX4KC) <a href="https://twitter.com/RCFOX4KC/status/1170797343165353990?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 8, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

More info coming in a moment from someone else per Reid on the radio.
|
The Chiefs prepared for most of this offseason to be without Tyreek, so I think they would be fine without him short term.
|
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Andy Reid tells Chiefs Radio network that Tyreek Hill went to a local hospital for tests and head trainer Rick Burkholder would "talk to the guys" later about his status. <br><br>Reid wasn't very happy with the hit from Jalen Ramsey: "I'm not sure that was the cleanest of plays."</p>— Matt Derrick (@mattderrick) <a href="https://twitter.com/mattderrick/status/1170798401405030401?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 8, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>I

So basically it could be broke, but if so, it’s like a hairline.... not easily detected.
|
Can you bruise your collarbone?

Of ****ing course, the Chiefs finally have a team that is SB worthy and since we have the worst luck imaginable, our potential HOF WR gets hurt just after he signs an extension. Weve had pretty bad luck when it comes to signing guys to big extensions and them getting hurt.
