EEEEIIIIIIINNNNNNN
|
This is one of those titanic regular season matchups that only rolls around once every few years. Should be a fun one.
Hopefully our linebackers decide to nut up this game. Otherwise they're going to ram it down our throats all night. |
Can Schwartz please block someone. Idk what’s happened to him but he’s struggling this year. Also for the love of god can our LBs make a tackle. We are second in the league in missed tackles right behind the Jets
|
Well hell since bnk started this thread I'll tune in to watch just how we win but it's a given thanks bnk .
I bet Vegas hates it when big nasty kcnut starts a GDT. |

What kind? |
Posters on purpleflock say Lamar isn’t as fast as last year and their interior o line is terrible along with their pass rush. They said Jones will have a huge day

Our tertiary receivers are set to have a huge day if they blitz us all game. Everybody has to be on their toes. We could really use Sammy to play, if for nothing to draw a top tier corner and keep their depth corners on Robinson/Hardman.
I hope Clark feels healthy. We’re going to need great games on the edge from him and Kpass and Danna. I hope to see Demone Harris out there, as he may be our best runstopping DE. (I’m a Demone Harris homer.) Pennel needs to be in game shape and we need to be able to flood the intermediate zone and take Andrews out. I trust Sneed on the outside. The other side shouldn’t hurt us too bad but we need Thornhill to rebound. At the end of the day I just can’t trust our LBs to beat the run down on 1st and 2nd down. If the Ravens gash us like I think they will it’s going to get ugly — real ugly. And there’s nothing Mahomes can do if the Ravens won’t let him on the field. Mahomes is the cheat code, though. Just, every other factor goes the Ravens way. Hope I’m wrong. |

I'll drink to that :BLVD: |
Same here. I'm drinking orange juice though.

What's the word on Sammie?
I hope Harman gets some balls thrown his way and Tyreek gets his. I don't see us losing but I think it will be a fight for 3 quarters then we just go up two touchdowns and a field goal from 69 yards Buttker is good for it. |

Just over 13 hours before kickoff.
THinking if it's dark enough I may watch it in my back yard at the back of my house wall with a projector . I know I'll do that with the Thursday night game coming up but not sure if it will be dark enough to start the game tonight. |
Let's get it.
|
In!
**** these mother****ers. I hope we see Andy Reid’s dick tonight!!!! |

Make Lamar be the shitty bad guy from Highlander 2 or 3. He's not worthy of being the Kurgan.
|
|
In for the champs doing champ thangs!!
|
So without the actual crowed at the game but they feed crowed noise I hope to the **** they don't play that stupid 7 nation army like the Orioles, they ruined that song.

I’m real excited... but I’m also trying to temper my enthusiasm knowing that there’s a really strong chance we see this team again in a few months — in a much more important contest.
|
This feels like the prime time match up with the pats a few years ago where we demoralized them. 41-14 or whatever it was. Excepte im not going. Lets roast these ravens!
|
Think I’m gonna go hammer the over real quick.

Besides, Highlander is already a risk. Highlander 2 and 3? Most people have never seen those shit shows. ROFL |

I feel much better about the game tonight after seeing big nasty kcnut started the GDT. Decided to work from home today, smoke a brisket, and get into a little Blantons before kickoff. This game feels like a playoff game to me and I look forward to Lamar Jackson sulking on the bench again at the end.
|
I see a 37-31 Chiefs win, with them again holding a 2-score lead entering the 4th and having the game in hand.
Mahomes has success beating the Ravens' blitz, which has trouble getting home. The Chiefs' D clogs the middle of the field, daring Jackson to beat it outside the numbers, and it slows the Ravens down enough early for KC to grab that 2-score lead. Hill and Hardman both have long catch-and-run TDs. Mahomes throws 4 TD passes. |
I’m excited to see the offense opened up some. O line better get their shit together. I think our DL will put lots of pressure on Lamar.

Only thing that worries me in this game is easy scores for the Ravens.
Hollywood Brown CANNOT get behind Thornhill. He has to be on his game tonight. If we don't give them any easy scores, and Lamar doesn't just run wild scrambling on our linebackers, we got this. No 60 yard broken coverages, no 40 yard scrambles. Even with that, it's Mahomes. We'll be fine. LMAO |
In. I really hate having to wait all day.
|
Our LBs are gonna struggle keeping up with that RB playing QB
|
Be interesting to see what Harbaugh does with the fourth downs and two-point conversions this time.
That ruined him last time. |

Don't forget last year when we played them Frank Clark was a walking corpse.
Could be huge. HUGE! |
It's all going to start with the defensive line.
Last year, Clark was off and despite that, Okafor and Ogbah did a great a job setting the edge and staying disciplined. Jackson had his 5th worst rushing game of the season against the early 2019 Chiefs defense that was borderline terrible at the time. Spags got this. |

I've got a rare Monday off from work, so I'll be able to enjoy the entire game.
Now let's rip the heads off these Ratbirds, and shit down their necks!!! |
Ross Tucker said on the DP show earlier to expect a double digits Ravens win... LMAO

Ross Tucker seems to be the latest talking head that really doesn't like the Chiefs being good.

I'm interested to see what Spagnuolo deploys. His scheme last year against the Ravens was really effective (it forced Jackson into taking a lot of deep shots, which he didn't hit) and would have looked even better save for the two literal prayers Jackson managed to connect with that led to points for the Ravens. I think we'll see an aggressive approach to stopping the Ravens' rush attack... four-man front with the ends playing contain and blitzing a linebacker (and possibly two) into the a gaps. That leaves you susceptible to play-action over the middle unless you're bringing safeties down, but I think we see the S coming down a lot, with cover 1 and cover 0 most downs, especially early downs or run situation downs. It leaves you susceptible to cutbacks and big plays, but I can live with giving up some big plays or even explosive scoring plays if that means the Ravens' offense isn't grinding down the field 4-5 yards at a time. |

I’ll be shocked if the Chiefs don’t keep this very close, especially after last week’s scare.
Predicting otherwise seems totally silly. |

Of course, he's really good escaping that pressure, so if we can somehow keep him somewhat contained and in the pocket, but with hands in his face, I don't think he can beat us. Of course, this assumes we do a reasonable job stopping the run. All of this is easier said than done, but we don't need a dominant defensive effort, we really only need a few stops along the way. And while history isn't indicative of the here and now, we have plenty of evidence that Lamar folds in the biggest moments. Maybe that's changed with a little more experience, but who knows (hell, it was only three games and a long offseason with no preseason ago - not sure how you fix "mental" in three games). The one thing I do know is the Chiefs have a guy that elevates the team at the most critical and crucial moments...It's a proven commodity. Regular seasons wins are great, and Lamar Jackson is a great talent, but mental toughness is hard to teach. You either have it or you don't, and while I think Lamar is definitely better with his experience now v. 1.5 years ago, He still reverts back to who he is when facing immense pressure: a very talented runner with very inaccurate and flawed throwing mechanics. |
