Late Night Bullshit: Where would we be with Foles?
Alex Smith has flirted with an MVP season. Foles looked great in relief of Wentz last week.
Last year Foles looked amazing vs Indy and struggled against a good Jaguars defense. What would this team have gone last year had they stuck with Foles I've Alex? What would their record be with Foles as the starter this year? Keep in mind this team could have signed Foles to be the starter for half the cost of Alex. |
nowhere

if foles were better than alex foles would have started. foles playing for the non concussed alex was a benching to wake up smith. other than that he is there for emergency use only. hence why he is starting and not chase daniel. :D

IOW, good (and connected) enough to keep playing but not win playoff game, but not bad enough to replace. |
1 playoff in in 5 years?
is that the o/u? |
Disappointed

Exactly the same.

Lost me on your first line. Foles did not look amazing in the relief of Wentz, in fact the difference was dramatic. Yeah, he got the job done but he didn't look amazing.

We probably lose to NE and Houston with Foles but win the NYG and Buffalo games.
|
Foles nearly almost lost to the jags last season.
|
You guys are insane if you think we would being doing anything but worse with Foles over Smith.
|
Over the cap.
|
Who?
|
Better Mahomes than Foles

Foles hardly looked “great” last week. Not bad, but I definitely wouldn’t call his performance great by any means.

Alex flirting with MVP? That was a train wreck worth watching.

Alex Smith > Nick Foles
|
Foles is still the best backup in the league. I would start him over a handful of guys as well.
|
Foles is a good backup
|
Where would we be? We'd be starting Mahomes right now, that's where.

Taking a dump while simultaneously talking to that one relative you can't stand.

Well at least he can beat the Giants.
|
Foles looked good today. Threw some nice passes into tight coverage.

Awaiting Mahomes 1st start just like we are now. Except we wouldn't be expecting to get a good picture trading Foles like we are with Smith.

Foles looked like shit in KC under our QB genius.

He had one very good game, and one below average game, which we still won, in the same fashion we won a lot of Alex's games in KC. The two TD passes Foles threw from distance tonight are throws Alex never even attempts. He's running on both throws due to pressure/perceived pressure. I dunno where this team would be with Foles instead of Alex, but I've NEVER seen him try to take off running like a dumbass from clean pockets, which killed our ****ing season. We won one playoff game in five seasons with ASS11. Foles has won two in one season. It is what it is. Smith was a ****ing waste, Foles might have been, too, but I bet he wouldn't have cost this team as much. |
A good game against the Colts is something we are bragging about now? ****ing Clay

Where does Foles rank? Enjoy your ban you dumb *****. |
Foles would have beat the Titans. Alex is trash and Foles just beat a real defense. Alex doesn't do that.

Foles > Tony Romo.

Tom Brady Matt Ryan Peyton Manning Cam Newton Russell Wilson Joe Flacco Colin Kaepernick ... and soon to be Nick Foles. Notice a key omission? Who gives a **** about winning % when you haven't actually won shit. 1 conference championship appearance in ****ing 13 years. Suck a dick. |
Tiger triggered bc Alex’s backup is in the SB. But hey Alex has experience watching his former backup starting in a SB.

Smith did have his NFC Championship game appearance. 1-13 on 3rd down in a narrow loss. Had some weapons too. Crabtree, Davis, and Gore. O-line was considered one of the best too.
|
Bum is the name for Smith. That's what a QB is when they can't beat good teams. Smith is way to inconsistent to win anything. He goes to sleep in games and you lose when you need to win in the playoffs
|
if Mahomes was the QB of the Vikings, they'd scored 100 points.
|
We'd probably be in the same place we are now, sitting at home, watching some other teams, and bitching about it. Even Foles knows he's going to be the back up next year.

You have a link for this? He’s backup and where? |
We would be nowhere with foles. Just like we are nowhere with smith. My fear is being nowhere with mahomes, because I'm starting to believe Reid is the real problem.
This isn't me saying Alex is ok now. I still think he is gutless and plays it too safe. We are seeing a trend with Andy now and is truly horrifying. |
The same place we're at now. Until Andy butt ****ing moron Reid is gone this is where we will stay.
|
I’m convinced Andy Reid would still find a way to **** it up. We’ve added play makers to this offense every ****ing year and he still finds ways to go into a shell and go three and out with these chickenshit horizontal play calls when we have the opportunity to put games away. Tennessee was ready to give up, you could see their defensive players frustration. Suddenly the Chiefs go into a shell and it totally seemed to give them confidence.

I don't fear Andy turning Mahomes into Smith. Andy has said he wished he could have had Smith earlier in his career. He knows he can't fix Alex. He can't t make Alex into Mahomes. |

Wouldn't be surprised if the eagles make Foles prime trade bait at the trade deadline next year. |

Andy Reid was HC of the Eagles when they drafted FOLES. The next year Chip Kelly became HC in Philly he said (Foles) he was the starting QB for the next 1,000 years here (Philly)

FOLES will probably put up another seven TD game vs. the Patriots in the Super Bowl but the ref's will go flag happy and take them away. The players play and the Ref's are the directors of the plays. They decide the outcome.
