Except for being the Narrator on Thomas the train.

Okay, rephrase time:

Remove all incidents of animation for children. Now, show me where either of those guys made something as insipid as "Click" or "Night at the Museum".

I disagree.

It was pretty much okay. Not awesome or spellbinding.

I thought it was pretty poorly executed. The Col. character Cruise played had almost no personality or character development at all. You never even really got the sense how these guys came to despise Hitler so much personally or objectively and why thy decided to do something. It was just "He's a bad guy, let's git em'"

I don't know if the book was like that, but I suspect it was a bad adaptation.
Plus they promoted it as an action movie when other than the very beginning and the one bomb scene, there's really not any action.

It was certainly no Downfall, which is about 50 times better.

I thought it might be good until I saw who was directing it.

I agree, but I'll see this movie. If I were to ever go gay, it'd be for Christian Bale. The man can do no wrong.

Carlin was in Dogma. I hated Dangerfield.

blaise 01-08-2009 12:07 PM

Carlin was also in those Bill and Ted movies.

Dangerfield was great, especially in Caddyshack.

I think it'll be good. The producers are already backing two sequels. I wonder if Bale will be in those too.
