Call me lowbrow but I'll take a John Wick type movie over "Birdman" any day of the week.

FMB just swallowed his monocle after reading that. ;)

In all seriousness, people like different things. John Wick is probably one of the best pure actions movies in the past decade. If you had said Transformers instead, then lowbrow would make more sense.

The Riot Club.

Interesting look at rich little assholes.

That's every movie he's in...

Depp should have slowed down on the Burton movies, ruined his career.

I think he had a great career. Everybody knows he's one of the best in the business.

He had a wonderful career, I'm talking about all the Burton movies he did in the past 10-15 years, it was overkill. He hasnt made a good movie in the last 10 years imo.

Tried to watch Primer again...

I just can't understand what the hells going on no matter what. I've read a bunch of explanations and it's still confusing as hell. I give up.

St. Vincent. Really wonderful movie with great performances by Bill Murray and Naomi Watts.

I'd agree with the exception being The Rum Diaries

The one exception (for me) was Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas.

He was just ****ing sideways enough to perfectly capture HST.

Not in his big escapades, but his very small moments people weren't around for...

John Wick was entirely overrated. It had moments but Reeves ruins it.

Just watched Dying Young with Julia Roberts.

It's basically early 90s Julia Roberts porn. It's also incredibly creepy, which made me identify with the male lead. LMAO

Also The Lone Ranger was entirely underrated. I heard so much bad stuff about it but was thoroughly entertained all the way thru.

Whiplash is incredible especially if you've ever played an instrument and had a half insane music instructor. JK Simmons was amazing, Oscar worthy. Highly recommend

Imitation Game was mildly interesting. Very formulaic and the entire Benedict Cumberbatch is a socially awkward genius is a bit tiresome at this point. Charles Dance was wonderful as usual.
