Source Code was okay, certainly not the quality of Moon but it was entertaining at least. A bit far fetched and a predictable, dumb ending.

My opinion: competent to a fault. It's quite good, but it fell just shy of my top 10 list for last year because it is so conventionally structured and filmed. With its tightly-traditional 3-act structure, it felt like a play that happened to be filmed. Colin Firth is worth the price of admission alone, though.

Sure-Oz 08-03-2011 10:37 AM

I'd go with Reaper, i enjoyed it but def. felt like a play

I went into it thinking that it was going to be meh. That was a really damn good movie though. No slow parts at all.

Loved both for very different reasons.

EXCELLENT movie. I didn't want to see it, because I thought it would be boring. I was so wrong. Great story and great acting. A lot more humorous than I expected.

I watched "True Grit" (Coen Bros.) last night and it was good, damn good, but it was missing those 'that came out of nowhere' moments and scenes that leave the viewer to figure things out for themselves on what just happened and create discussion such as their past films. It seemed to be slipping on the generic side which is the last thing I want to see from those bad boys.

It certainly wasn't on the same level as "The Man Who Wasn't There" or "No Country for Old Men".

That little girl was badass whoever she was, that was acting. They were all good as usual but she stood out high above.

That may sound harsh but we're talking about our last of the A++ Class writers/producers left in Hollywood. I expect more guys.

I'd rate it 7/10 only because you expect more from those guys. If it was from most of the nameless Ramen Noodle ****s it would be much higher.

There is one shot of a bareass girl from the back, which is the ass double. But there's plenty of shots of Mila in bra and panties. I'd hit it.

Reaper16 08-06-2011 11:50 AM

More Hollywood movies need to be like Source Code. It was gripping, brisk, and enjoyable. Plot-hole'd like a mofo, but whatever.

well written review. I couldn't agree more. There isn't much talent left in hollywood as far as directing goes, but the Coen brothers stand above all. Nolan is a close 2nd though.

Perhaps though, I am biased. I'm a big Crichton fan and it was painfully obvious they dissented from his input.

Wow. I thought The A-Team was surprisingly good for a movie based on a cheesy, old TV series. Not a great work of art, but a fun, over-the-top action movie.

Yeah; I was totally prepared for some cheese etc, but I just couldn't get into it at all.

I did like the guy that played Murdock, however.
Part of my dislike of it, I think, might be Liam Niesen playing Hannibal. I Like Liam, but I just couldn't convince myself to disassociate him from h is other movies etc.

I didn't really care too much for Liam Niesen in that role either, but he wasn't too bad. I thought the others were cast quite well.

What a fitting title. After watching it, I felt like I had been sucker punched in the groin. What a freaking waste of time and money. I figured it wouldn't be great, but JFC the story was SOOOOO bad that it took away from all the Eye Candy.

Just saw scream 4. What a piece of shit. Horror movies have changed since the 90s, can someone tell Wes cravin? don't criticize saw for its lack of character development then have the same God damn problem in your movie. At least saw has stupid people dying in interesting ways. What a waste of 2 hours.

No, the eye candy in that movie is stronger than any crappy script Hollywood could throw at them, obviously. Fail.
