Lazar has (slowly) begun to reappear, as last year was the 25th anniversary of that story breaking. He did an appearance on Coast to Coast a few weeks ago with George Knapp and he'll be appearing at the International UFO Congress in just under a month.

There are some different possibilities for what his story may have been, even if he is speaking truthfully (and I believe he is). He may have been (unbeknownst to him...) a stalking horse in a search for foreign espionage or the victim of a deliberate misinformation campaign in order to help cover up more conventional research going on there. Or he may have seen exactly what he thought he saw.

I do believe he's honest. He's really had nothing to gain from all of this all along, and he's been a hesitant witness since day 1, if George Knapp is to be believed. Lazar's kept himself persona non gratis in the UFO field for decades. He's been a straight business man, with some government contracts I believe, all this time, and has tried to keep himself separate from all the UFO bullshit.

Whatever the case ends up being, and we may never be able to ascertain what the truth actually was, he really did play a huge role simply by getting the story of Area 51 out there.

And to this day Stanton Friedman is still one of my favorite interviewees to listen to. While he may have questions about Lazar and questions about the Majestic 12 documents, he's still a fascinating guy to listen to. Even if he's saying essentially the same things now he said 40 years ago. I certainly don't tune him out just because I don't agree with everything he says.

Has anyone ever listened to John Lear ramble???

Holy shit I thought I was crazy....for being a guy with credibility and a high profile he goes wayyyy out on a limb on some things.

I actually started to think there was something to it, meaning the federal connection and the paper trail he's supposedly uncovered, until he started with the Luciferian agenda stuff, and how the military is all filled with Luciferians fronting as christian groups, particularly the Air Force.

Then it was kind of like...wha?

Hey could you link to the podcast?

I have an odd fascination with Columbine so I try to listen and watch as much stuff on it as possible...

Oh I like Stanton as well, his persistent dogging of Lazar is what throws me off... if he is such a devout believer, constantly neg repping Lazar makes no sense.

Lazar has so many great clips out there I wouldnt dare post them all here because it would take too long for everyone to watch them... he's no trial balloon or disinformation stooge IMO, he witnessed what he witnessed and his story hasnt changed one iota since the 80's.

And as you alluded to, he is still very involved in leading edge science to this day.

Was the "Area 51 caller" that phoned in C2C and talked to Art Bell ever debunked?

I could've sworn I read it was a hoax but I could but wrong...no matter what it's still awesome.

Someone called in recently (not sure when this was, in the last couple of years I think) and said he was the guy and that the whole thing was a hoax. I believed him. But I'll admit I was predisposed to think that, because I heard it live the first time and have always believed it was a hoax. Albeit an entertaining one.

I think Lear is batshit crazy at this point. He was entertaining and I think on point in some ways 30 years ago, but it's been a downward spiral since then.

As I recall, he was actually the guy that originally got George Knapp in contact with Bob Lazar.

How about Dr. Roger Leir? He passed away, unfortunately, but he was always digging for implants. Literally. Interesting stuff.

Anyway I'm going to avoid religion as much as possible in this thread. I don't want it to devolve into a DC thread with sniping between believers and non-believers of any particular religious creed, whether eastern or western or anything in between. Religion is just one of those areas where people seem incapable of having productive discussions. At least in my experience.

That really sucks - I was going to ask you for a link until they went BSC.

A couple of notables thus far w/ the Paranormal Report.

I am not sure what was up w/ the green cat - aside from a horrible human painting it. I'm not sure if that was cool and happened in a different way - or if it sucked and kitty was tortured. Also - The key-hole exorcism in Czech Rep. was pretty killer - it's funny because if you listen closely - you can hear the kids filming it, snickering softly - like like OMG chuckles. Hilarious bit that was.
