The problem is that says 40...4.52 he ran a 4.72....that drops him more because of the size.

And I think the 4th round is awfully early to be taking special teams guys.

maybe a pinch of homer, but I try to stay objective and it seems Im not alone on my views of certain players that Ive seen a lot of.

I don't think I've ever jumped out of my skin to pimp up an undersized LB with a bad 40 or a slow footed RT.

So posting scouting reports is jumping out of my skin? Posting a youtube video of something I previously brought up in this conversation and stating my opinion on the matter is as well huh?

I can dig it.

I guess it is.

I think both are still starters in 10 years..how about that? I think that is good value in the fourth round.

If Tony Moeaki didnt have his injury history he would be already gone. Ferentz said he is the best tight end he has coached and Dallas Clark came from the Hawks.

Mecca 03-22-2010 12:55 AM

Moeaki is an H-Back type just because of his size...

Calling anyone a 10 year starter is stretching these days, a lot of good players don't play that long.

BossChief 03-22-2010 01:07 AM

He is the same size and about the exact same build as Visante Shiancoe and is about the same type of player IMO. If he didnt miss so much time to injury he would likely be a second rounder.

If he can stay healthy, he can be very special. Hes a very smart and talented football player.

The NYG select from Arkansas, guard Mitch Petrus.

Can someone please PM BossChief for me, thank
you?

Well everyone, we're halfway through this and I'd like to take a minute to thank all the owners for making this mock draft what it is. Way to go!

Hamas, struck on a good point. For all the hype this draft gets in terms of talent after the first 100 or so things drop off quite a bit. Now is the time when you really WIN the draft. Good luck the rest of the way.

As far as the Petrus pick, I actually have been a fan of this kid for awhile. I first noticed him when McFadden and Jones were running wild for the Hogs. I think that this kid can play at a high level in this league for a long time. In the 4th round you can't ask for much more.

The Franchise 03-22-2010 03:13 PM

Did anyone PM BossChief?

Sfeihc 03-22-2010 03:21 PM

Yes

Sfeihc 03-22-2010 04:07 PM

Since we're halfway through I'll take this time to look back at my picks so far.

Lions

1-Okung-It had to be done, especially with the DT depth in this draft. Gives Lions an upgrade at LT and LG. Must protect Stafford, he's legit and the future.
2-McCourty-CB and KR are two major needs for Detroit. He can help both right now.
3-Alualu-A backup as a rookie but able to provide pass rush from the 3-tech.
4-Tate-They need to add someone who could be a feature back or at least share the load. Tate can do everything well.

The Lions are far from loaded but between FA, trades and this mock they've taken some big strides in improving the talent on their roster.

Giants

1-Graham-Giants pass rush returns to elite status and makes the whole defense better.
2-Washington-Ability to play anywhere but I think will settle in as a WIL as a vet.
3-Houston-A heck of get in the 3rd, value meets need in the form of this buzzsaw DT.
4-Petrus-The NYG could lean on this guy for 10 years at G. Last year they added Beatty and now Petrus. Their OL will remain strong for years to come.

The Giants defense has received a major infusion of leadership and talent and the offensive line some quality depth and a future starter.

Sorry for the wait guys, long day.

With all the question marks surrounding the future of Ben Rothlisberger, the Steelers need to add another qb to the mix.

With the 112th pick in the 2010 NFL draft the Pittsburgh Steelers select

Dan LeFevour QB Central Michigan

Mecca 03-22-2010 04:22 PM

You know you got 2 picks in a row there Boss right.

Mecca 03-22-2010 04:39 PM

Really WTF.
